  • Lovely apartment, fantastic location

"We had a wonderful time in St Paul and enjoyed staying at your lovely apartment on Lincoln Avenue. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was more than completely equipped for cooking and we loved eating on the screened-in porch above the street. What a terrific area--we were able to walk to restaurants and shopping, and had easy access to bus routes. We even met and enjoyed the neighbors! And you, the owner, were available immediately when we had any questions. Thanks again."

  • You don't want to miss this one.

"This is an absolutely wonderful cabin. We spent the 4th of July week here as a family. It has everything you'd want in a cabin: beautiful views, 3-season porch, deck for morning coffee and evening meals, firepit, a shady deck by the water for happy hours, beautiful dock, and plenty of room for lawn games. The owners are down the road and so accommodating. We hope to come back again! You won't be disappointed."

  • Top of the Memory List!

"We five women meet somewhere for a week every 12-18 months. This one is up at the top of the memory list! A beautiful home with comfortable bedrooms; a well appointed kitchen, especially important because we love to cook; breath-taking views of a lake and sunrise that wowed us every day; a beach we explored and rock hunted several times; and a convenient location to the best of the North Shore. We hiked to several waterfalls, especially loved the Caribou River, Temperance, and Cascade Falls, and the Pigeon River at the Canadian border. Be sure to catch the 20 minute movie at the Heritage Museum at the Grand Portage Reservation. We got lucky to be here for the Plein Air art festival in Grand Marais. The Angry Trout Cafe there is not to be missed! Coho Cafe in Tofte is fun and convenient. We had a rainy day which gave us time to turn on the fireplace, watch the lake (more like an ocean!), read, play games, cook and just enjoy our company. You can't lose if you stay at Aspenwood.....we had a great time, Rick! Thank you for sharing this lovely place! Margaret from Mpls, Diane and Patty from Arizona, Vivian from Indiana and Alice from Milwaukee."

  • Beautiful House and Peaceful Setting

"A group of 5 couples rented this home in September for the weekend. The home is very nice and tastefully decorated. The house is very clean and well maintained. It was nice that each couple had their own bedroom and there were 4 bathrooms that had showers/bathtubs The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and we used the gas grill that was provided in the evenings. The setting is very peaceful, there is plenty of space to play yard games, relax on a couple of the decks, sit around the fire pit, or relax in the hot tub. The guys enjoyed playing ping pong in the basement. We went to Red Wing to have lunch at Kelly's along the river on Saturday afternoon. It was less than a 10 minute drive to Red Wing. The owner of this property was very nice to work with and he provides a binder with information about the rental property. We hope to get back there again. We would highly recommend staying at this property!"
