  • Perfect for large family!!!

"We very much enjoyed our recent vacation at Bentwood Condos. Highlights were: (1) the large accommodations for our extended family - 4 bedrooms/3 baths were perfect, (2) the clean pool and shaded area next to the pool for those not wanting to sit in the sun, (3) the dock space for our boat, (4) the swimming in the quiet cove behind the boat, (5) the location is easy to get to by land and close to things to do, (6) the location is good on water too - close to good restaurants and things to do, (7) parking is great - right in front of the condo for everyone in the family. Because the condo association is small, the pool was never crowded and the parking was always available. It worked out good for us that the marina was also close - because we used them to get gas for the boat, store our over-sized boat trailer for the week, fix our inner tube for tubing, etc. The only downside as others noted in reviews were the concrete steps to get up to the condo. When unpacking/packing our vehicles it took several trips in/out of the condo and the steps were tough for that."

  • Great Place to Stay

"Loved the location! Just inside the no-wake zone in an arm of the lake, but near enough to see the main channel. Used the lowest martini deck a lot to hang out and watch the lake, as well as get in the water and cool off. Loved seeing the wildlife (had more than one visit from a Mallard couple). We also used the uppermost deck to eat breakfast one morning, instead of trying to find another restaurant, while being squawked and twittered at by birds in the trees all around us (which I loved). The villa was plenty spacious for four adults, with yet another bedroom that could have been used. Three bathrooms was plenty. Loved the full kitchen, which we used to make our own breakfast. The brown pelican carving in front was pretty nice. I can't give the rental 5 stars for a couple of reasons. Reason #1 is that, although the place was very clean, the windows hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Very disappointed, considering the floor-to-ceiling windows were a draw to this villa. Just the windows--everything else seemed perfectly clean. A very minor point--all pictures here seem to be for another villa similar to ours, but not our exact one. Not a big deal, but a tad misleading. For instance, no BBQ grill on the deck...I'm assuming they are all pics of the neighboring villa, which we could see from the parking area, and through the trees. Another minor point, and something not within the owner's control, is that the lake level seemed to be low, so using the ladder to get into the lake was a necessity. No jumping in! All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much--just wish the windows had been cleaner!"

  • Very clean and adorably retro. Perfect location

"Wow! The most gracious owners! We arrived after a five hour drive to not one, but TWO bottles of wine, along with a variety of snacks! They unexpectedly provided toiletries, if you stay at the lake often, you know this is rare. The house was very clean and beds were amazing! Thank you so much!"
