  • Lovely, Simple getaway in the woods.

"If you are looking for a quiet get away, this is your place. Very clean and pretty log-cabin. Nice to have charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill and a pile of wood. Even though there is not a full kitchen the electric appliances and grill should be plenty for you to cook your own meals. Cindy charges extra for breakfast and this is well worth it. Hash brown casserole, baked apples, and biscuits and gravy were amazing. We cook a lot and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the meal was. We also visited the winery up the road. Quaint place with good Missouri Wine and the owners are nice. We would return to Jack's Log Cabin. Just a great getaway."

  • A little piece of paradise!

"We felt like we were miles from civilization at your cabin. It was so quiet which made for a very relaxing get away. On a clear night, the star gazing is magnificent against the backdrop of nature's music. The location was a great base camp for a number of day trips to the local wineries. Overall, our stay and communication with Jeff and Shiela was great and I would definitely recommend their cabin for your next get away!"

  • Awsome view and accomodations!

"We loved this modern cabin with a spectacular view of the Meramec Valley. The pavilion and access to the Meramec River was like being on our own private resort. There were even 2 caves and a spring to go explore and play in! This is a very safe and family friendly place to enjoy for 1 night, or 2 weeks!"

  • Lovely setting. Comfortable cottage.

"We wanted a place to get away to relax and Copperstone Cottage was wonderful. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. All you have to do is stock the kitchen with your food and everything else you need to prepare it is there. Grocery store is just a few minute's drive away. View from the back porch/balcony is beautiful. While there are other cabins at Murphys Place, they're strategically located so that once settled in, we felt like we were alone in the woods. Unfortunately, I had some work I needed to do and the Internet connection was very inconsistent. They were doing some things while we were there to improve access so that may no longer be a problem. This is the only reason we gave 4 stars - really more like 4.5. The hosts were very respectful of our privacy but easily available when we had questions. They were gracious and generous. We would definitely return - especially for a float trip in the summer next time!"
