  • Lovely home in and outstanding setting

"My family and I loved our stay in your home! Awesome views of the lake no matter what we were doing, and very comfortable facilities. Very quiet area where it was so easy to relax. Previous reviews indicate the wifi is a bit slow, but that only seemed to be an issue for me when looking at maps of the area online (to research daytrips and activities). I had good cellular data coverage while outside. I guess I don't care much about the internet at such a beautiful place! Very nice property. I'd definitely recommend."

  • I'd give it six stars if I could, better than the pictures!

"One of the best places My wife and I have stayed in 30+ years of October trips to the mountains. Immaculate, well appointed, great kitchen, very comfortable beds, wraparound porch and big sky views from every window. The deck is a perfect place to chill with a glass of wine after a day of adventure. Convenient to Kalispell and Rosauers Grocery, a great place to get your food and wine. We took day trips to the north to Glacier and Whitefish and a day trip to the South around Flathead Lake to the bison range. Incredible views everywhere. Finally, Ellen was wonderful. She was super helpful, interesting and fun! You have to read some of the newspaper articles in the house about the Hargrave cattle ranch and guest ranch that Ellen and Leo Hargrave owned. Definitely adds a Western charm to the trip. Thank you Ellen for a wonderful time."

  • Great family vacation

"The vacation home was exactly what we expected it to be- there was room for our entire family-right from an eighteen month old to grandma and grandpa! Cathy made us feel very welcome, and the weather was great. We spent many hours on the lake with our boat, and with the canoe and kayaks that were there for us to use. The walk to the water was a bit steep, but we knew that before we arrived. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the fire pit as well. We could have stayed longer-so much to do in Kallipell! The only complaint I have is the amount of bugs in the basement-we swept up over thirty in the kitchen when we arrived, and three or four every time we entered the bathroom. We did keep our clothes off the floor and checked the kids often to make sure they didn't have any on them. Overall, a great family vacation with great memories. Thanks again Cathy! Colleen"

  • Picture-perfect!

"My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful historic bungalow for a full week. It was immaculate, comfortable, and homey. Very convenient location, charming and quiet neighborhood, close enough that we could walk to town for restaurants. It is completely outfitted with everything needed to feel like home. Beds were very comfy, tasteful furnishings throughout. It was a lovely home to return to at the end of a day of hiking and touring. At one point we needed a repair, and we had immediate response from owners with everything taken care of so efficiently. They were a pleasure to work with and I will definitely return when I stay in the area again."
