  • A perfect house for a group wanting to stay in the same place, like for a family reunion, like ours.

"The house was large and furnished completely. They even provided linens, towels, bath soap and TP, and laundry soap. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We had 8 adults, 2 teen girls, 2 -12 year old girls, 2-9 year old boys. Under the steps is a large area that became the boys fort...then the 12 year olds and teens each took their turn of having that area as their special hideaway. There were lots of card and board games for the rainy day and evenings, Xbox, tennis court w/rackets, basketballs, and never a boring time for any of the age groups. We all seemed to gather in the large, very well equipped kitchen area. The kitchen was open to a bar with bar stools, a dining area with 2 large tables that worked out well for eating and playing games, and kids crafts on the other one. The room was wide open to a large couch area, with stove and piano. The house had a patio and table/chairs and propane bbq outside, which we used. It was a huge house, plenty of parking, and never felt over crowded even with kids. There was a separate living room with a TV that we never even used as the kitchen/great room area was more fun with everyone in there. But it was good if you wanted a reading or private conversation area. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 baths downstairs (one bedroom has a Jack and Jill bath,) and easy access to shower if handicapped. Upstairs has a huge bedroom with BIG tub and separate shower, laundry area, plus 2 other bedrooms and a bath plus a "play room" with TV/Xbox and doors leading to porch outside. The kids spent a lot of time in this area too. The house is perfect for couples, kids, combo. Privacy is good. The house is clean and well equipped. The furniture isn't modern or delicate, but very functional. There are a few things that needed repair, but nothing that was a problem. There are smoke alarms in each room also. We would stay there again if we went back and had as many people as we did this time. The owner was also helpful via email and returned my questions and deposit in a very timely manner. We all would recommend this house for large groups."

  • Cozy and comfortable, convenient and clean

"Everything about this home is charming and comfortable. Brad and Paula were as gracious and accommodating as can be, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in their home again. While obviously old (100+ years?) the home was warm top to bottom. I especially loved the cozy carpet and thick pads and it was fun seeing our group sprawled out on the floor and couches relaxing and playing cards between freezing cold hockey games. And then at the end of the night, sinking into the soft beds with the cozy bedding was a real joy. The teenage girls wanted me to note that the Wi-Fi was top-notch too :)"
