  • It Did Not Disappoint!

"The Garden Apartment was exactly as it was described and pictured. Deborah was a gracious hostess and there were many special touches that made us feel at home immediately, from a nicely stocked snack basket (that I really tried to avoid but the cinnamon pita chips finally got to me and I crumbled) to the nicely stocked "essentials" basket in the bathroom closet that contained tooth brushes and such, things that are easy to forget or lose along the way on an adventure. The kitchen was well stocked, and everything we needed we found there, and since for a few days we had our adult kids with us, we actually cooked a few times. Deborah also provided a "welcome" book that listed nearby shops, restaurants, groceries and such, and that made getting around the neighborhood much easier. We found her recommendations excellent, from the nearby Keyfoods groceries to a lovely Italian restaurant, Al De La, that was the best meal we had on our trip. There are no laundry facilities on the property, but with help from the "welcome" book we used Deborah's recommended one, just up and around the corner, and that worked really well. The weather was quite cold when we were there, but the unit was cozy but not overheated. When we checked in, Deborah told us to let her know if we needed more heat, but we never did. We were in the unit for 5 days and we enjoyed everyone of them, and we look forward to staying with them again in the future! So to Deborah and Conrad, thank you and Mahalo from the Verdugo's from Honolulu"

  • A highly recommendable property

"We had a really enjoyable stay with Yvette, always ready to help and to make you feel confortable and at home. The old-fashioned house is charming, very clean, with high ceilings, we especially enjoyed the ones with a kitchenette, it is well located with an express metro station the ara is quiet and safe. You can go there with closed eyes !"

  • Great location

"We had a very good stay here. The main room is very large and has a good sofa. The kitchen is well stocked and there was even some coffee! The location is fantastic. We could hop on the subway at 88th (86th street station) on both B and C lines. This place especially benefits from being so near Central Park. We had a lot of good walks and crossed over to the museums. Towels, sheets, hairdryer -- all good. The only negative, and it wasn't for us, is that it is a 5th floor walk up. By the end of a long day, it seems like a mountain! But, as my sweet partner said, it allowed us to eat more strudel. About the heat -- New York apartments cannot individually control the heat and for us it felt much too hot. Air conditioning in fall/winter somehow seems wrong, yet we used it! Wonderful place."
