  • Spacious Casita in a Beautiful Setting, with Friendly Hosts

"First, thanks to Ed and Melissa for making us feel welcome and for providing us with lots of information about Taos and environs (as well as cookies and coffee and veggies). Adjacent to Carson National Forest, their 2-acre property is only a couple of miles from Taos Plaza. The adobe cottage, next to one of their extensive gardens, is quiet, beautiful and spacious. Quite roomy for two people, the casita has a fully-equipped kitchen, a comfortable sitting room, spacious bedroom and closets, and a full bathroom. (And with a small laundry room, with washing machine, to boot.) This was our first visit to Taos, and thanks to our hosts' suggested itinerary, we truly enjoyed becoming acquainted with the town and nearby surroundings in our brief, three-day visit. We hiked trails along the rim of the Rio Grande gorge and up to Williams Lake adjacent to the Taos Ski area, visited Taos Pueblo, strolled the area around old Taos plaza, and enjoyed several of the wonderful art museums located here. We hope to return to Taos someday, and we hope we'll be able to stay again in Ed and Melissa's cottage."

  • COMFORT, CHARM AND HOSPITALITY

"Our hearts were won after parking and pausing at the blue gate, where we lingered before even passing through to the beautifully planted courtyard. The latter became our favorite spot for morning coffee and late afternoon reflections on the day. It didn't hurt that the season offered the blazing orange of pyrocanthus berries, the shimmering yellow of aspen leaves just turning, and the red of the Virginia Creeper twining here and there. Even the ornamental grasses were "in bloom," and hummingbirds regularly hovered at the porch feeder. Yes, we did spend time inside this lovely casa, where every comfort and convenience was provided for relaxing, cooking, and sleeping. The art work from Alexander Anthony's Adobe Gallery enhanced this rich interior environment. For planning our days, the collection of brochures and local magazines was richly supplemented by excellent tips and guidance from both Mr. Anthony and Todd. Inspired by the cool evenings to light our kiva, we were grateful when Todd provided kindling, paper, and fragrant pinon, as well as new lighters! Wondering where to eat, how to find the best spot for catching the shuttle, where the neighborhood coffee house is? Todd will lead you there! While this was the perfect location for venturing further into and out of the city, perhaps the greatest pleasure was that feeling of being IN a walkable neighborhood and the growing familiarity with Canyon Rd., Asequia Madre, and all the lovely cross streets! We are so grateful to our generous and charming hosts and do hope to visit again!"

  • Most memorable and relaxed Thanksgiving ever!

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Angel Fire. The cabin was in a great location and was very warm and comfortable. We had a great time playing pool and Xbox and other family board games. The kitchen was well stocked and made Thanksgiving meal preparation a breeze. We saw a ton of elk all around our cabin when we arrived and enjoyed watching the deer graze throughout the day. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of space for our family of 6. Thank you for giving us the best Thanksgiving ever!"

  • Spacious and well located

"We were a group of four women who really appreciated each having a bed/bedroom. Enjoyed the privacy of the property and inside was spacious and beautifully appointed. Ideal location to walk to all places; first the Railyard District and not much further into downtown. Loved not having to search for parking once we arrived. We enjoyed the Saturday morning Farmer's Market in the Railyard District. When we arrived Friday afternoon, we stumbled on free admission to the museums, which I don't know is that night or certain Fridays. We took a different route each time into town and stumbled on different stores and sights each time. I would highly recommend this condo and hope to return."
