  • Terrific holiday getaway

"My husband and I and two dogs just spent Thanksgiving week at Casa Paloma. It was a lovely experience! The house is bright and cozy. There was plenty of wood for the fireplace, and a huge fenced enclosure for the dogs. The kitchen was well-equipped and very clean. There were muffins, chili and wine for us in the fridge. We used the lower bedroom. The bed was comfortable, the bath convenient. The house is situated far enough from others to seem very private, and the surrounding country quite scenic. We enthusiastically recommend Casa Paloma!"

  • Nice surprise!

"We needed a long weekend before school started and I looked all over southern and western Colorado and was unable to find anything available, accepting of dogs, and reasonable! We found Shirley's place and I have to admit to being leery at first. The outside photos are not impressive and the owner is right next door. Not an issure as it turns out! Shirley is a hands off, lovely, hostess. The floor plan is very open, lots of natural light, high ceilings, warm colors, tastefully decorated. Everything we needed was right there. She thought of absolutely everything. She actually made most of the spanish Colonial furnishings. The house is on top of a bluff. The back deck is huge and the views are amazing. Our kids toasted hotdogs and marshmallows in the fireplace on the deck while we stargazed. There is a bedroom upstairs that has to be accessed via an outside staircase. My husband and I were up there the first night and the breezes and ceiling fan cooled it beautifully. Not a great fit for people with small kids or tiny bladders but, when we traded the following nights with our teenaged boy, he was in heaven! Absolutely Recommend this place. Thank you, Shirley. It was just what we needed."

  • Enchanting!

"It is hard to express how beautiful the mesa is -- sunrises and sunsets are outstanding. The house is an architectural gem and is very well appointed. My wife, father-in-law (from The Netherlands) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is truly an enchanting place!"
