  • Great rental for the price

"My family and I, eleven of us in all, rented this house for 5 days in September. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find, that everything was in place, as explained to us. After a quick inspection of the house it was apparent to us that we would enjoy our stay here. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and offered ample sleeping space for our group. All rooms were equipped with window unit A/C which cooled this large house to a comfortable temperature. The common areas provided plenty of seating for meals, and just hanging around, including the screened in wrap around porch where we spent much of our time. Outside the house, there was a gas grill that we couldn't get to work, but we made due with a charcoal grill that we found in the shed. There is a nice size yard that is manicured to perfection, complete with flower beds and lush grass, this made our outdoor activities all the more pleasant. Included in the rental, was a kayak that is certainly a seaworthy craft, as we all enjoyed paddling out to one of the closer islands on the lake. The people of Huletts Landing were more than accommodating, and super friendly, despite the fact that we were obviously tourists, and clearly not from the area. Overall our stay here was absolutely amazing, however, there were some things I would've preferred different. I had hoped there would have been a better view of the lake from the house, there is actually no view of the lake at all, and the house is a few hundred yards from the beach. We were hoping to spend more time out on the lake and had planned to rent kayaks from the marina but the rental rates were outrageous. This left us with the one kayak included in the rental to share between eleven people. The price for the rental was more than reasonable, and we all agreed, we would definitely go again, only next time I think we would consider paying more for something closer to, or on the lake."

  • Blissfully Relaxing

"Our family of four has stayed in multiple Lake George locations and we have finally found our perfect spot. The condo is IMMACULATELY clean. It is perfectly appointed and casually furnished - perfect for us and our 13 year old boy and 12 year old girl. We spent many hours enjoying the facilities at Cannon Point - the tranquil sandy beach, the basketball court, the pool, the lawn at the Manor House, the boat dock, the swimming raft, the fishing pier AND the "rugged" peninsula nature walk. If we ran into anyone, they were extremely friendly, but for the most part, we seemed to have the area to ourselves. Compared to the crowds everywhere else, it was so relaxing. Mike answered all of our questions and was extremely helpful - even saw him at the race track during the week! I really cannot express how much we enjoyed it in a review. I am already looking forward to a return trip next summer."

  • Great week in Bass Bay!

"We have spent many summers renting various homes in the Silver Bay / Hague area of Lake George. If you've ever rented in the northern part of the lake (where it is not nearly as touristy), then you know it is hard to find rentals...and finding one that is nicer than a "camp" is like a luxury! This home was perfect for our family. Our kids are 11, 10 & 7. Our boys loved sleeping in the walk-out basement, where they had plenty of room to play. They had their own bathroom, and it was nice and cool down there, even when it was hot outside! There is even a washer & dryer. Big plus. The master bedroom was just right, and it even included an air conditioner, which was great for a couple of the hot nights we had. Our daughter slept in the bedroom next to us, which included an extra twin bed. The family room / kitchen / dining area was really nice and open, so we never felt crowded. There was a TV, but I don't think we ever turned it on. Wifi was great and stable. We did lots of cooking, and everything we needed (utensils, pots, etc.) was in the kitchen. The BBQ grill was used almost every night! We spent a lot of time down on the dock and swimming and fishing in Bass Bay. Honestly, this lake house had everything we needed. It wasn't a Four Seasons by any stretch, but it provided a step-back-in-time type of vacation that our family truly enjoyed. The proximity to Silver Bay (and it's kids' camps!) was a big sell for us. We look forward to renting this same house again next year!"
