  • If you like peace and quiet...this is the place for you!

"First, I have to say the owners were amazing. Bob was easy to contact and offered answers to all questions I had....right away. My family has been coming to the Lake George area for years. Often times, Lake George Village is a lot of action and people. Can get a bit busy. We wanted more woods, lake, small town, quiet and peacfulnes. We traveled more north on Rt.9...we discovered the town of Bolton Landing and Diamond Point. Locals are amazing. Make you feel right at home in the small cozy town. Love to eat out overlooking lake and renting boats for the day. I found Bob's beautiful cabin online. My husband was not happy we me booking something online...but the minute we drove down the private road and approached the cabin he looked and me and said "this is did good". I told Bob what we were looking for and his cabin checked all it boxes. There is a small community on Trout Lake. Only 5 minutes from Lake George. It is stunning. The cabin overlooks the lake. I mean its you, deck, some grassy area and then the Lake...literally all to yourself. There was not a cup of coffee or glass of wine not had from Bob's deck or dock. The dock was huge. We had a party of 8, 4 adults and 4 children. No one was bored or disappointed. Kids fished daily and actually caught some decent fish. Dock loaded with lounges. We used all fun equipment from floats, extra swim dock and even kayaks. First time we did kayaks and it's so relaxing. The dock was a place to relax, chat and enjoy everything around you. The cabin was cozy and had everything needed. We came up with our linens (which you don't have to bring) and our food. I must say a charcoal grill makes the food taste so much better. The deck off the cabin had two rocking Adirondack chairs that you saw sun come and down. Candles lit and enjoyed fire pit, smores and family time. If you are looking to travel to Lake George area, want a reliable owner who loves his property and has everything you need for a peaceful vacation contact Bob. You won't be disappointed...I promise you.!"

  • Cute Cottage with perfect private beach!

"I usually don't write reviews but I felt that this house deserved it because of our awesome experience....I stayed at this house with a few friends and it was the perfect lake rental! We had a young child with us and the little yard and private beach was the perfect set up for us, we barely needed to leave the house. It was so nice to be able to wake up and go right out onto the beach, hang out in the lake all day, and the private floating dock was fun to jump off of and lay on all week too! The house is farther up Lake George, so it is a quieter area and less populated so you will need to drive a little bit if you want to go out to eat in surrounding towns but there is a cute little town called Boltons Landing just 20 minutes away and a few general stores close by if you need anything. I would recommend bringing rafts, kayaks, canoes, whatever you want to hang out in the lake and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenery. The guys had a successful experience fishing too, whether right off the sand, from the dock, and out on the kayaks. The only reason I didn't give this rental 5 stars was because of the older walls/windows/bathroom, but everything in the house still worked great, and we didn't come across any issues. There was a great screened in porch with a large table where we ate all of our meals and hung out in most of the time. All being said, the cottage had a quaint feel to it that made for a fun lake vacation."

  • Quiet & Unique with a Vista View

"I enjoyed a one-week stay at Bruce and Susan's picturesque property. They have their own "Walton's Mountain" in a way. Hulett's Landing is off the main track and offers a quiet, friendly, upper-scale ambiance. Residents seem connected through history and traditions--yet are valuers and respecters of privacy. The property is atop a mountain road that passes by a few homes and ambles through tree-laden area before reaching the Young's private driveway. An unpaved road winds up to their oasis overlook. The cabin home has solid craftsmanship and charm. The layout is a large open-room style. Mounted hunting trophies offer a truly striking decor. It's not just decoration--it's testimony to Bruce's exotic life of world-wide hunting, a museum in kind. The trophies are tastefully displayed and well-lighted at rafter height (not looking you in the eye). Cool and special. Comfortable bed, wonderful quiet, and a mountain vista view. I found the kitchen island convenient to work with and the back patio a pleasant setting. Small details say a lot, and finding comfortable towels, scented cachet packets in the wardrobe drawers, and dual coffee makers (regular or Kuerig) was appreciated. I'd advise future guests of two things: 1. The cabin sets close to the Young's home. 2. The cabin is an open-room style that has designated sections, but not walled off separations. The advertised pictures are very accurate, and calling it a "cabin" somewhat does an injustice. It's a distinctive cabin-like lodge that feels "new" and is well-maintained. Ticonderoga and Schroon Lake made for nice side trips, and the Vermont border is a 20-minute drive. Bruce and Susan are accommodating hosts (with fascinating backgrounds) who appreciate meeting you. They grant professionalism and privacy. I sincerely appreciated their warm and genuine hospitality. --D. Beck"

  • Great house-close to all!!

"My family and I ( couple in their 30's with two kids 3&6, mom in 60's and aunt in 40's) had a wonderful stay at this "cabin in the woods". It was nicely decorated, clean, and cozy. It had everything we needed to be prepared for the days adventures! Well stocked and well equipped to anyone and everyone feel right at home. It was secluded enough to feel exclusive yet so close to all the towns "hot spots" to feel in the heart of it all. We spent the days kayaking, canoeing, boating, swimming, tubing and out nights were filled with dining, movies under the stars, concerts in the park, and playing games at the house. We had such a relaxing and exciting time, it was hard to leave. Best of all, the owner is very available and accommodating. He worked with our schedule. Was very pleasant and courteous. Would stay again for sure and highly recommend : )"
