  • Clean, comfortable and convenient

"My daughter and I stayed at Random Scoots so we could do some hiking in the High Peaks and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The cabin is impeccably maintained and very comfortable. It's secluded, but very close to Rt 73, so it's an easy trip to the major trailheads, Keene, Keene Valley and Lake Placid. It was a great base camp for us and I can highly recommend it to any hikers who are planning a stay in the High Peaks region. Thank you, Tom and Doreen!"

  • Beautiful condo in Keene

"My friends and I stayed here for a weekend of skiing and ice climbing in the Adirondacks and were blown away by how nice this place is. Its a great location right in Keene and the place itself is really nice. The pictures don't do it justice."

  • Wonderful stay at the cozy cottage

"We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was axcactly as showed on the website. Very nice cottage with all the convenience you need while exploring the surroundings. It was clean, well kept.Keene is a lovely village. We visited Lake Placid, hiked and went to different waterfalls in te area. Dorothy and Ken were very nice, but kept distance so we felt very comfortable and relaxed.. We even got to make a fire and make s'mores. We would definately return here!"

  • Comfortable quiet cabin in a beautiful location

"I spent a week here in July 2016 with my daughter shuttling her daily to Lake Placid for hockey camp - 20 minutes away. We loved the cabin - very comfortable and surprisingly well-stocked. A homey living room, wifi and cable, linens and a full kitchen made the place very livable. It's on a very quiet road right next to the Ausable River and a short drive/walk/bike ride to Keene for dinner and supplies. We look forward to staying here again. Some items to be aware of: - it's a cabin so don't expect a large luxury bathroom - it's upstate NY so don't expect air conditioning (though there is ample heat!) - it's remote so be prepared to pack your own garbage out - it's in a beautiful spot so be sad when it's time to leave"
