  • Waneta Lake, perfect spot

"Waneta Lake was the perfect size lake for our two families. The boat dock right off the back of the property was perfect. Could swim on one side and fish on the other. The owner takes a lot of pride in the property with spectacular upkeep. The lake was right in between Kueka and Seneca Lakes. Short drive to Watkins Glenn and many wineries. Would highly recommend to anyone who want to sit and relax and enjoy being right on the lake."

  • Nice house on Keuka

"This house had many great things about it. It also had some things that needed fixing and updating. Pros: House is large with 6 bedrooms Master bedroom is large with great views Kitchen is beautiful with everything you need Loved Keuka lake and the house is close to town The kayak and paddle boat come in very handy Small fire pit for bonfires Large bar area with additional kitchen was great! Cons: We stayed here on a very hot week in August and the AC just could not keep up with it. The top floor was 81 degrees when we arrived. We even called the owners because we thought it was broken. They said to just shut the shades. It did not help much. We had 3 full size trucks so parking was difficult. The window in the main bedroom leaked when it rained hard. They left us linens that did not fit 2 of the beds. The outdoor furniture was in poor shape. The rocker on the top deck was rotted out. They advertised a swim platform at the end of the deck but it was not there. The ice machine didn't work. All in all - the house is nice and large but the house was not high end like I had expected for the amount of money we paid. Lots of little details that needed to be looked at that added up."

  • RIT Reunion Fun

"It was very relaxing to sit out on the back deck and enjoy the river view. It is a secluded location but still close to RIT and other Rochester venues. The cottage was clean and had all we needed for a great few days of fun with friends."

  • Peaceful Lake Stay

"This place won't disappoint you. The house is clean and very comfortable. The furniture is not your usual seedy cottage furniture, the floors are decent/clean and the window coverings are a notch above the usual. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and starter supplies. I loved the screened in porch, There were many places to sit and eat including two places on the deck, one on the lawn and two places in the house. Sally and Bob were great to work with, very responsive and friendly. I had to call them twice about two questions I had and they returned calls promptly. Sally was also kind enough to meet us to allay our apprehension about the whip moorings. The dock is very sturdy, not your usual rickety structure like at some lake houses. The docking system for the boat was easy to use. Additional instructions about the whip moorings and the whole house are included in a very informative manual provided by Sally and Bob. The house is on the quiet end of the lake, right on the water. It is an easy paddle in the provided kayaks to the canals, that offer great birdwatching and fishing. We even sighted two American Bald eagles. Always a thrill. It was very enjoyable to sit on the glider on the lawn to take in the view and a few naps! The sunsets were stunning. The water was warm and clear for swimming. Just note, the seaweed was moving in, making it harder to swim, We had floats so it was fine. Just get past them and relax on your float. AND those very same weeds provide cover for the great fishing right off the dock! If fishing is your thing, Cananadaigua is the right place to be and this house gives you quick and easy access as the free boat launch is directly across the lake. In summary, this house is owned and operated by a hospitable couple interested in your vacation experience. The house is clean and comfortable. It is evident Sally and Bob are trying hard to provide a relaxing and memorable experience. We most certainly will be back! LS and NS."
