  • Wonderful experience

"We have been vacationing at Keuka Lake for the past four years. I have to say the Water's Edge helped to make our recent two week stay one of the most memorable vacations we have ever had. This home has been recently remodeled with high end appliances, beautiful master bath and bedroom, views of the lake from every room - even the bathroom. The deck is actually OVER the lake. The dock is wide enough at the end for several chairs and had whips for our boat. It was a perfect location - near the college, close to Penn Yan and Seneca Farms Ice Cream, the Switz Inn, and even Hammondsport is only a short drive. The street is very quiet and fairly level, great for walks and bicycling. Our grandchildren visited over the weekend - we had a blast boating, tubing, fishing, swimming, catching crayfish, hiking, grilling, smores at the firepit, and watching the moon rise on the deck. I would recommend this property without reservation."

  • Even Better the second time around

"We loved returning to this slice of paradise for the second year and had looked forward to it for weeks but the location accommodations and owners graciousness and hospitality far exceeded our memories and expectations. We loved the little touches in the immaculate excellently maintained camper, the thick towels for showering and the lake, the small provided shampoo and conditioner, the new wooden chairs to sit at the end of the dock for enjoying the lake view as well as the panoramic sunsets, the beautiful patio, the inside/outside stereo system, the somore supplies waiting for us, the fresh corn and zucchini Joanne brought buy to add to our dinner, the fire pit and provided wood lakeside for incredible star gazing, lots of great fishing off the end of the dock, the lake was perfect temp for swimming (but bring water shoes or old sneakers because the entrance is rocky ) and a Saturday morning fishing trip with Jim( this is extra but so worth it) bringing in some beautiful Lake trout and Land locked salmon, and the ability to eat out side under the awning which is one of our favorite features . Both visits we have opted to cook our own meals and we are always glad we made that choice because we just don't want to leave once we get there. We used the grill outside and the nice gas cook top inside, there is a small fridge and freezer but always plenty of room for everything we bring. The bed is so comfy, and the table and sofa in the living room both allow you an amazing view of the lake . We just cant say enough about this fantastic VRBO lodging and the incredible host who live a 3 minute walk from you ; should you need any assistance or input re: places to eat or things to do. Jim and Joanne graciously supply kayaks which is on our list for next years trip as is taking advantage of Jims' new offering http://captjimswinecruises.com/ . This is the kind of rental you almost want to keep your little secret ......It is our happiest Place on Earth ..hope it becomes yours. L and J"

  • Perfect size and location

"The online pictures don't do this place justice. It was roomy and clean. I loved the convenience of not having to bring towels or bedding. The fenced in yard up top was great for the dog and the lower yard set up also made it easy to contain our furry family members. You'll have to bring all of your own food, including spices and condiments. We bought replacement paper towels, toilet paper and laundry soap and also left some cleaner and zip lock bags there. Other than these and any additional games (they already have some there), personal items, life jackets for adults, they have just about everything else you should need. The canoe and kayaks are a nice way to explore the lake, which is very large and low on traffic. One note regarding safety: there is a non obvious opening to the left of the gate to go down the stairs to the lake, which my dog found and fell partially down the hill...it could have just as easily happened to a small child. We put a cooler there to block it, after we discovered this. Luckily the pooch ended up ok. All in all, this is a fantastic property and I would definitely recommend it and stay here again."

  • Highly recommend Casa Bella

"Casa Bella is a lovely property right on Seneca Lake. Like others, the pictures do not do it justice. This home is very comfortable and can easily accommodate 6. Inside and outside furniture is in great condition and the patios are a nice spot to toast the sunset over the lake. This home is well stocked if you chose to cook, although there are great restaurants in the area. If you want to visit the best wineries and brew houses, Seneca Lake if your prime spot. Many of the local wineries have music one night a week in season. Doris is exceptionally easy to work with; her frequent communication and follow up is appreciated. Since our return after a week's stay, we have recommended this home to two of our friends. Recommended wineries are: Herman Wiemer, Heron Hill, Heart and Hands Wine Company, Red Tail Ridge Winery, Bloomer Creek Vineyard and Red Newt. Recommended brew pubs are Bottomless, Wagners (wine also). Recommended food is Halsey's and Port Side."
