  • Superb Location!

"My husband, two children (15 and 12) and parents rented this house to celebrate my Mother's 70th birthday. The house is spacious and architecturally interesting. It also has a great feel in that it is not littered with a lot of extraneous stuff, so you don't feel you are intruding into someone's personal space. The converted barn sits on many, many acres and has lovely fields and woods in which to walk and spy deer, woodchucks, and turkeys. There is a great hot tub from which to enjoy the view and a sauna to boot! My kids liked their sleeping loft- complete with foosball table. There is an extensive sound system both inside and outside the house and a comfy TV area to enjoy Sunday football and the Presidential debate. If you are not familiar with Craryville, it is close (10- 15 miles) to a great number of interesting NY farms that raise, among other things, grass fed beef, as well as western Mass towns like Great Barrington and Egremont. The owner was super solicitous (remotely) while we were there to ensure everything was working. He allowed our dog Ruby to join us and was relaxed about both our check in and check out time. The barn has both a wood stove and a fire pit- neither of which we got around to using! I definitely would recommend staying here and plan to come back when time off allows!"

  • Beautiful property! Quiet, lovely energy. Great location.

"We stayed at the cottage for a long weekend and had an amazing time. The cottage itself was perfect, an inviting space tucked away on a beautifully landscaped and well maintained property. Whether resting in bed or sitting have a cup of tea at the table, you have a charming view of the garden, grounds and pond. There is a private gazebo overlooking the pond, secluded and surrounded by nature. I had a truly wonderful yoga practice in this space, the grounds have such amazing energy. Beth was a lovely host, there were fresh flowers from the garden to enjoy and a great binder of information about the cottage, surrounding towns, restaurants, things to do, all of which made our stay that much more enjoyable. The cottage is in a great location, easy to get to Great Barrington, Lenox and Chatham. Great shops and restaurants in each. Beth's reviews were spot on too and we had some delicious meals based on her suggestions. It was the perfect weekend getaway. Highly recommend this charming little cottage. We will definitely be returning to stay!"

  • Great stay!

"Our multi-generational group of 8 staying for a weekend had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kids enjoyed exploring the property and swinging on the tree swing, the grandparents found the couches and master bath very comfortable, and the rest of us loved cooking and hanging out in the convenient kitchen. Proximity to all the fun towns is a real plus. And we appreciated all the wonderful details: having the beds all made up for us, soap in the bathroom, and plenty of extra pillows and blankets in the closets."

  • Perfect Getaway

"'The perfect weekend getaway'. That's what the heading should read when describing this cottage. My wife and I stayed with two other couples all looking for a break from our connected lifestyle. We found ourselves feet up enjoying a glass of wine around a fire for three nights straight! From the minute we entered the front door we felt welcome. Denise, the owner, penned a friendly note that was both sweet and informative. It was apparent a lot of love and care was put into making sure the experience was what every guest hopes to have. The decor was perfect, the amenities were plentiful and all six of us raved how comfortable the beds were every morning. Friday and Saturday were spent mostly on the property either kayaking, boating, cooking, hanging by the fire or relaxing inside. Sunday we decided to take a ride into Hillsdale, a quaint little town with shops and cafes..We definitely plan on booking again soon!"
