  • Quiet Paradise

"Absolutely beautiful, quiet, and well-maintained hideaway in the woods of upstate New York. My wife and I spent three nights there, and would need another week just to start experiencing everything there is located nearby. If you like to bike, hike, bi-plane ride, boat, experience history, and enjoy great dining all is within 5-15 minutes of your door. Do not pass up on eating at Market St! Tanya is an incredible host and a wealth of information about the hidden qualities of the area, including great swimming holes! We'll be back soon! The jet tub make for an intimate evening along with take out from one of the fine restaurants. Do not pass up on this property."

  • Stay at the chalet!

"We (5 couples and 2 singles in our late 20's) thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the Chalet this summer. The property was easily accessible for our group, which traveled from Boston, NYC, Albany, and central Connecticut. We utilized the two grills and fully-stocked kitchen, and ate each meal from the wrap-around deck that overlooks the lake. The first night, we were able to watch the meteor shower over the lake. The following night, we enjoyed an impressive lightning show from the huge window in the master bedroom. We also took full advantage of the canoes provided to us during our stay, and were able to enjoy a few relaxing hours out on Whaley Lake. Overall, our group would highly recommend the Chalet for any group getaway. Connie was very helpful and accommodating, and the property more than suited our needs."

  • Wonderfully charming spot

"We spent time at Le Petit Chateau last year when it was a B&B. Although no longer a B&B, it is still a delightfully beautiful home in a gorgeous area. 5 minutes to the CIA (get take-out lunch there and return to your "home away" to enjoy a "picnic" by the peaceful pond), 10 minutes to the Walkway across the Hudson, and 30 minutes or less in any direction will bring you to all the historic sites in the area. We stayed in the Champagne room with its very comfortable bedding, nicely-designed bathroom, and plenty of room to relax and rest. It was nice to get up when we wanted to, prepare breakfast, go for a walk on the back roads in the area, and enjoy the peace and beauty of the property. Valerie provided great guidance on some places to see and was so helpful with our reserving the house. We were thrilled to be able to spend time at Le Petit Chateau again to celebrate our anniversary and savor time spent in this lovely house, all of its charm, and the beautiful location. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enjoy, relive old memories, and create new ones during our time in Hyde Park."

  • Great Stay!!

"I checked in with three other people for what had to be one of the hottest weekends of the summer. If you turn the air conditioner on the main floor on, shut the basement door, leave the main floor bedroom doors open and sleep with them open it's totally comfortable. The people who slept in the master upstairs said the air-conditioner was sufficient if the door was kept closed upstairs. It truly was super hot out but we were fine in the house. It was a major concern of mine and it all worked out! We booked the house as accommodation for going to an Omega workshop. It was amazing accommodation with only a 15 to 20 minute drive to Omega. Fully equipped and good water pressure in the showers. Great decor and lovely linens. Would highly recommend and I would stay there again for sure! Note: access to the house was through a remote garage door opener. This becomes problematic if you are not always traveling with your group. Also if unloading groceries and luggage, pull up to the side of the house and bring it in through the front door. Then go park the car on the lower-level garage area. Saves a lot of hassle."
