  • Great stay!

"A great apartment in a wonderful location for exploring NYC. Clean and well-maintained. Exactly as described and well-stocked. Richard was always available by phone or email. Thank you to Richard, Leslie and Billy. This was a perfect apartment and neighbourhood for my stay."

  • Perfect

"Stayed a week, better than advertised, would recommend to anyone interested in studio size accommodations; definitely beats a hotel. Excellent hosts with a ton of local knowledge and recommendations if you want. Super, super quiet and able to fully relax once back in the room. All amenities present, we needed nothing. Within walking distance of Highline, Chelsea Market, Hudson River Greenway, excellent local restaurants/bars (tried most of them), much more, and the subway of course. We hit all five boroughs and returned each night for a very restful night; bed ridiculously comfortable. Clean, safe, full kitchen and bath, great outside garden, felt like home. If we get back to NYC we will make reservations here and will do it early."

  • Great location and comfy for 6 people

"The apartment was a great find for the city. It was comfortable enough for 6 people. We stayed two per bedroom. Beds were comfy. It was easy to get in contact with the hosts and get the keys. The fridge was not working when we arrived, which wasn't too big of an issue as we ate out most meals. They responded quickly and had a repair man come to fix it. The apartment was clean with all fresh linens, and everything that a hotel would normally have. Handy to have the umbrellas when it rained one day. Would love to stay here again, thank you!!"

"I've been fortunate enough to stay at Shani and Albert's on two occasions, most recently in September 2016. It is a truly fabulous apartment - a fascinating mix of industrial fittings (with pipes running the length of the high walls and across the ceiling) and gorgeous antique furnishings. The walls are dotted with Albert's impressionist and post-impressionist paintings and there are a myriad of beautiful objects to stare at and enjoy. Lots of light streams through the tall windows and you can catch both the Chrysler and the Empire State buildings from the spacious living area. The bathrooms are wonderfully maintained and well stocked with soft towels, soaps and creams. Noting the comment re the lack of air conditioning, while I haven't stayed in the middle of summer and I am an Australian, there are multiple ceiling fans which I'm confident would cool all aspects of the apartment. Finally, there are fantastic supermarkets and delis nearby and it is a short walk to the heart of NYC. Shani and Albert are a complete delight and I hope I have the good fortune to stay in their home again. Kirstin"
