  • A Fantastic Place to Stay

"We stayed at Branch Goodson's home in Washington, NC in October. It was really really nice and sooo clean and stocked with everything one could possibly need. It is a beautiful place right on the water! Mr. Goodson's hospitality was wonderful...very personal. We would definitely stay again!!!! Sharon and Dan"

  • Great family getaway!

"Wonderful place for family to relax! Grandkids(ages 9 & 6) thought it was awesome with the water at the backdoor! Enjoyed the secluded street for bikes. This was our second year at this location. The neighbors were very friendly and accommodating. PS. There is a WELCOME yard flag on the kitchen counter that was found lying in the street yesterday. We do not know who it belongs to, maybe one of the next door neighbors."

  • Cousins in the Cabin on the Creek

"We thoroughly enjoyed our long 4th of July weekend at the Cabin on the Creek. The house was PERFECT! The owner met us at the house to give us the keys making check in very easy. Carol was great at keeping in contact with us by emails and texts prior to our arrival. The house was very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The sunroom on the back of the house was a nice place to play board games in the evenings. The pool was an added bonus and got a lot of use over the weekend. The view of the creek was beautiful. Checking out was easy too, we straighten up, placed the sheets and towels on top of the washing machine and locked the doors behind us. The Town of Bath is rich with history and a great place to relax. We would love to return in the future. We would highly recommend staying at the Cabin on the Creek. It was just perfect in every way! Carol - Thank you for sharing your home with us and giving us a truly wonderful weekend!"

  • Great time for all!

"This was our second stay at The Boathouse. We really like the comfortable king size bed, the view, the Wi-Fi, the screened in back porch, kayaking, and playing ping pong. Everything is here to make meals and keep even older kids from being bored. Some things to do away from the property include visit the NC Estuarium. They also offer free riverboat rides if you have reservations. We learned about crabbing on the Pamlico. My son proceeded to catch one blue crab on North Creek right behind the house. We also took the ferry to Ocracoke and drove on the beach. We took a free ferry to Aurora and visited the Aurora Fossil museum. There you can dig outside for fossils. We found hundreds of shark teeth. Be prepared to stay a long time because it's addictive. From Aurora, you can drive to the free Minesottt beach ferry and take it to Cherry Point. From there you can drive to Atlantic Beach. The ferry rides are relaxing and something to do in itself. Goose Creek State Park is also a nice park with a swimming area that we enjoyed. Thank you for sharing your Boathouse with our family again."
