  • Beautiful Home and Great Owners

"We had a large family vacation and looked for a large house. I can tell you that the pictures do not do the house justice! Beautiful house, great amenities, and a 5 minute walk to the beach! Mr and Mrs DeFazio were fantastic and really easy to work with. House and kitchen well stocked and little was needed. Minor issues were taken care of quickly and without hassle. We will definitely look to book with them again."

  • Had a ball!!

"The house was clean and relaxed. We liked the fact that the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the living area so there was lots of privacy for couples with kids or multiple couples. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for us since we cook our own food. We didn't use any of the toys, boats or game room but I am sure that would appeal to some. We stayed outside windsurfing, fishing or visiting local sites. There are plenty of places to eat, grocery store, hardware and bait all very close to the house. The house was close to other houses but it was also somewhat secluded. We never felt like we were overcrowded by other homes. For sailers: It was perfect for us. The large yard allowed us to rig and stay rigged the entire week. There was a water hose for rinsing gear before leaving. Sails can be placed under the house for uv protection. The sound is about 50 yards away with nice steps through a sea wall. The water stays waste deep out about 200 years and then dropped off over my head so newer sailers might not like the off shore jibes in heavy chop. East or west winds mean shallow the entire time. You do get a confused chop because of the sea wall but just past the sea wall the chop is more predictable. I am not a kiter so I don't know how much room is needed to launch. The sound access is narrow so you might want to consider that. Canadian hole is a short drive so that is always an option for beginners. I would recommend this house for sailers for sure. We enjoyed catching see mullet on the beach, blue crabs at the dock and kite flying at the beach. There is just so much to do. The owners were super nice and available by text to answer any questions. We actually feel like we made some new friends and we hope to stay in touch. Of course we will be back also."

"The place is like a home away from home. It is very clean and well maintained. It's in a a quiet, nice looking and safe area. The owner is outstanding. She always got back to me when I contacted her. I highly recommend people to rent this place."

  • Awesome Condo that is close to the Pool, Clubhouse, Marina and Restaurant

"Arrived for a Family week before the kids return to school and the condo actually is nicer than the pictures. The kitchen is well appointed and the BBQ grill on the deck was a nice feature for our evening cookout. Brian the owner, gave us a nice welcome email package with several restaurant suggestions that were wonderful. Stripers in Manteo, The Lone Cedar just over the causeway and Sam and Omie's on the way to the beach for breakfast were all outstanding. This condo is a short drive to the beach and found Jennette's Pier fun to do some fishing. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the condo to families with children because of its location to the playground and the clubhouse for Kids Camp... Kids Camp is a daily experience for children and gave the adults some free time to enjoy a few hours to ourselves. We have booked this unit again next year and look forward to enjoying another OBX vacation. Thank you again."
