  • Great Vacation!!!

"One of the best vacations ever! The condo is quiet, peaceful, and close to everything you will need. Minutes from Sunset Beach or Ocean Isle. Not a bad drive to Myrtle Beach either. Minutes from grocery store and pharmacy (if needed) and several restaurants to choose from (also if needed). Condo is clean, spacious and well equipped for your stay. Great place for couples, families or golf trips. This was our third visit and we plan on coming back soon. Nothing like peace and quiet!!"

  • Well-stocked and perfect location

"This 5 BR 2.5BA oceanfront house was well-stocked and the location exactly 1mi north of Kure Beach pier and 1mi south of Carolina Beach pier/boardwalk was ideal. The beach was recently renourished in Feb 2016 (eg, sand from miles out in the Atlantic is slurried-in to build up the beach) and therefore quite substantial. The sheets must've been 400-count cotton because they were luxurious - nice if you have a sunburn! The photos and artwork/decor were very tastefully done. The kitchen had every possible gadget and serving utensil (sans some good slicing knives) and both drip and Keurig coffee makers. Each room has a TV. The Internet was fast. The front porch was deep with a nice 6-person table for games and cards + 6 rocking chairs. The kitchen table was long and could seat 10 (we did!). Nice gas grill and lots of beach chairs (though some were rusty from the ocean). I especially liked the layout of the master bed with its own bathroom/laundry tucked away down the stairs and away from the noise of the kitchen and living room. We rented this home for our family with adult children and their friends and it was perfect. The living room had a pullout couch but we didn't use it. The house came with all the linens (plus extra) so we didn't have to bring those. There were lots of spices to choose from plus starter paper goods, which helped a lot when we decided to cook. The only issue we had was our son got a cut on his hand from the barnacles growing on the concrete blocks in front of the house in the ocean - so don't climb on those! We did have to bring beach towels, coolers, and a cabana and some extra folding beach chairs. I would hands-down recommend this place to anyone and we have already reserved a week again next year."

  • Gorgeous ocean front condo with pool and lake on the back side of it!

"This condo is spacious and convenient to everything! It is clean and updated with granite countertops, newer carpet, and adorable bunkbeds in the hallway. For only a one bedroom, you can fit a family of 6 in this condo easily! Rhonda was so nice and accomodating, responding instantly to any questions we had. We had a lovely time and look forward to returning again next year!"

"as regular visitors to holden beach since 1980, my family and i have been staying exclusively at king crab for a decade. it has become our comfortable home away from home. happily, we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. from the splendid screened-in oceanside porch to the fantastic downstairs 'rec room,' it is the perfect 4-bedroom abode for a family. it is decorated with a plethora of colorful seaside relics, including a vintage sailboat mast which is built into the ceiling of the airy main room. meanwhile, the legendary shark bedroom, featuring stuffed animals, posters and eye-catching 'jaws'-inspired artifacts, will induce smiles from the younger kids and, yes, fun-loving adults as well. the krab is perfectly situated with easy access to the both the hb pier and the bridge, yet far enough away from the action to experience some private moments. the pristine dune which frames the short walkway to the beach is well-established and covered with lovely regional flora. and the view of the blue atlantic is peerless, whether you're up early with a hot cup of joe and the 'brunswick beacon' or celebrating the twinkling wonder of dusk with your favorite cold beverage. yes, prepare for a coastal experience you'll never forget. as the day winds down, the family may reconvene downstairs for a ping-pong battle royale in the cool of the open-air playroom -- or not. My thing is simply to 'hang' in the comfy pauley's island hammock as the kids go at it -- and dream peaceful dreams. indeed, there's something for everyone. such is the magic of king crab."
