  • Family relaxation at the beach

"My husband and I wanted a quiet month at the beach. We chose this property to have plenty of space and private bathrooms for family members we wanted to join us. That worked out really well. The open-concept living area and the decks provided all the space we needed to be together. Four bedrooms with ensuite baths gave folks a place to retreat. We were a group of age 55+ adults. We also needed pet-friendly to accommodate my sister's Yorkie. This house met all our needs. The house and furnishings are a bit worn around the edges, but the necessary stuff was in working order and water pressure in the showers was awesome. Full size washer and dryer are convenient on the bedroom level. We were told that the kitchen is scheduled for refurbishment after our stay. Location is key on a less crowdEd part of the island, about equal distance between grocery shopping in either Surf City or Snead's Ferry. It was a long haul (20 mi round-trip) to a couple of our favorite restaurants on the south end of the island, but we considered it worth the drive. We had good communication with the owner, but it became a bit frustrating after he connected us with the management company he uses. Fortunately we had time to work out the communication issues and all came together well in advance of our arrival. As with most beach houses, there are a lot of stairs. Having a bedroom and bath on the main living area makes it easier for someone who can't do stairs multiple times daily. The exterior stairs and deck are rough with splinters and popped nails. Be careful and wear shoes. This is a wonderful retreat for the family who needs public and private space within the house, expansive beach and views, and doesn't mind getting in the car for anything other than beach time."

  • A Wonderful Getaway Experience

"A perfect location and a great house. The beach access is so close and convenient and there are unobstructed views of the ocean from the balconies of the house. There are so many restaurants and little shops nearby and it is in close proximity to day trip locations (Battleship and downtown Wilmington). We had a blast looking for shark teeth and shells and enjoying the waves. The whole family loved our time spent at Shark Tooth and we were sad to leave. We would definitely come back next time we take a beach vacation. Kim was wonderful and so helpful when we started the process of renting a house, you can't ask for better owners. The whole experience was great!"

  • Family Celebration SC

"Came in town to celebrate new born grandchild/graduations and birthdays. the house was in a great location. We enjoyed staying here. Perfect size rooms and layout of the family/open kitchen areas were delightful. Screened in porch was perfect for me, the early riser and late night star gazing. We would recommend staying here. The only negative we had was the sand dunes covered the steps down to the beach access. This forced you to hick up and down the dunes about 12 feet or so. This made it very hard with a newborn and elder family members to get to the beach. My boys offered to dig them out for safety and we were told no by the locals. Other than that the place was perfect. We will be back. :) Thanks for letting us enjoy your home."

  • Lovely unit in charming area

"My family was fortunate to stay in 1204 St. Regis this summer. The unit was perfect for a relaxing week on charming Topsail Island. The unit had a completely stocked kitchen which was very helpful as we ate in half the week. The unit was spotless when we arrived and very comfortable. We loved the beach which was just busy enough and the pool area. It is a quiet island but has family friendly restaurants nearby. The unit had everything we needed for a relaxing beach getaway- the kind I fondly remember when my children were young."
