  • Beautiful place with great outdoor space. Wonderful for a family gathering.

"We had a great time and the property is great for family get togethers. Kids had a blast exploring the great outdoors in a way that reminds me of when we were young. Catching lightning bugs.. Playing tag, looking for roads and frogs. Really an awesome place"

  • Peaceful and serene

"My husband and I stayed at this home last fall with our dog. It was very pet-friendly and comfortable. The pictures are accurate. Home is exactly what I expect a lake get-away to be. Bedrooms had nice linens and bedding, and the bedrooms shared a bathroom. The additional half bath was nice. Susan and Terry were very helpful and friendly. We were there during a drought, but we were able to go out in our kayaks on multiple occasions. It was nice to fish from the dock (even though we didn't catch anything!), and the deck is just so enjoyable to sit out on. We found the nearby Dan Nicholas park to be a great place for a run and to walk our dog. We also visited some wineries and historic homes in the area. Great vacation spot."

  • Great Pinehurst Condo

"Great location, clean and owner could not have been better. Bonny was sure to reach out and was patient as my first check was lost in the mail. Communicated throughout and let me know when it arrived or I could have even dropped off when we got to Pinehurst. WONDERFUL!! Will stay again for sure"

  • Wonderful home and owners

"Nine of us ages 74-10 just spent a delightful week in this lovely home. The owners have spared no expense in keeping the home updated, clean and well stocked. They provide a pedal boat, chairs for the dock, and lots of information on the location - where to go and what to do. We loved diving and fishing off the dock - not at the same time. We caught catfish, small fry, and ta da....4 large mouth bass. We threw all but one back and had the nicest guy in world clean and debone one of the bass for us. We highly recommend renting a pontoon boat from Timber Lodge. Mike and Tyler are so nice and Mike is the guy who knows how to clean fish. We got two nice size filets from 3.5 lb bass and they were delicious. The home's location is pretty central to what you need. Taking garbage and recycling to a dump is inconvenient but I guess pretty standard for that setting. The DSL worked fine but we were in one of the few spots left in the country where you cannot call or text from your cell phone. I loved it but some of my group went through withdrawal. There is a sunroom that is perfect for family dining and playing Texas Hold'em, A cocktail table on which we did 2 puzzles, and a kitchen table that we used for cards and games. We didn't try any of the nearby restaurants because the online reviews weren't flattering. We loved Hwy 55 burgers though. The grill works as do all the kitchen appliances. We recommend Paradise on Lake Gaston to all who want a wonderful get-away place."
