"We had a blast and you can not beat the location. We've stayed before at the cabin and it just gets better. The cabin is simple which is fine for us because we are always on the go or just enjoying the property."

  • What a View

"First of all. the location of Retreat in the Sky could not be better. Convenient to downtown and major roadways. The windy road to acess the cabin is definately worth the drive when you see the stunning view of the mountains and all the flowers surronding the property. A beautiful home, completely decorated and ready with all the amenities. Sandy, the owner is a great communicator and makes sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay."

  • Our cabin home away from home

"This is our 3rd stay in the Waterside Fox Creek cabin for a total of 4 weeks. Having stayed in other cabins we appreciate the special qualities of Waterside. The sight and sound of the roaring creek are just awesome. They are even better when enjoying the fabulous hot tub. Today we hiked up the trail along the creek again. It is so nice to enjoy this sunny, secluded trail privately. The cabin is so comfortable: the kitchen is a pleasure to cook in and even has a dishwasher! We love the seclusion yet being 5 minutes from downtown Bryson City. We feel like we are staying in a treehouse because the back deck is in the trees right at the creek; yet the car is just 3 steps from the kitchen door. The cabin is far enough away from and below the road, to not have to worry about our 2 little dogs. It just doesn't get any better than this!"

  • peaceful interlude in the green zone

"My lady and I stayed for several days at Linda's ecologically-minded enclave. No sound of traffic, elevator music or yelling in the distance. I'm talking total silence. This place is really out-of-the-way. Not that far from Asheville but quite secluded, deep into woods and farms but convenient to Bryson City, Franklin and Highlands, NC. Linda has created a peaceful and eco-friendly spot, with two beautiful stone houses. The rest is just landscape and woods. You're surrounded by greenery and natural peace. Great place to get away from it all! BTW, this place is motorcycle heaven for those so inclined. The roads are gorgeous and twisty!"
