  • "Off the Grid" Paradise

"One of the best vacations we've ever had! The house is wonderful - plenty of room, picture-perfect setting, and well-maintained. We had 10 people ranging in age from 9 - 79, and had plenty of space. The owner is very responsive to any questions we had and gave us suggestions for activities. There are no neighbors crowding your view and the lake is not busy at all. Sometimes it felt like we were the only ones on it. If you're looking to be in the heart of the hustle and bustle, this house isn't for you. It's a long drive up the mountain within the gated community to get to the house - 15 minutes at minimum. But that also ensures the feeling of "going off the grid". Which also brings up another point - there is no internet access which took a few family members awhile to get used to. Despite being secluded, we still had easy access to NOC for activities, Asheville for the Biltmore, and Bryson City for grocery stops. And while in Bryson City, you MUST eat at the Filling Station and get the Cuban sandwich and at Jimmy Mac's for just about anything! Delicious! I highly recommend this house. You won't be disappointed!"

  • We had a great time, cabin is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Location is great and quite.

"We had a great time there. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Very close to trails, attractions and Smoky Mountains national park. Surrounding is very quite. We would wish to stay longer. Important: Do not be afraid about the way up to the hill, where the cabin is. This is not an off-road, where you need AWD, at all. My cousin had Toyota Avalon and had no problem to get there. Thank you Tina for your service and support."

  • Delightful week in Log Heaven ... Bryson City, NC

"Have recently enjoyed a week at Log Heaven, a lovely mountain hideaway that was just perfect for us. We wanted privacy, yet we wanted convenience to restaurants and a grocer; the cabin was as promised. The owners furnishings and amenities were such that scarcely nothing was needed. I awoke each morning before sunrise to enjoy coffee on the front porch swing and behold the day beginning. It was a struggle to leave the cabin and go about my business that I had come to the area to do.....enjoy all the outdoor activities of the Nantahala area. Sandy was never more than a phone call or text away for any questions or issues; she was positive and very helpful....a gem. The porches, front and back were furnished to enjoy...and we did. The kitchen was stocked well for preparing meals and staying put. The air conditioning and hot tub made for a soothing and comfortable days end. I will certainly put re-visiting Log Heaven on my TO DO LIST. Thank you Sandy..."

  • Excellent views, kid friendly

"This cabin has outstanding views of the mountains from the enclosed porch on main floor with ample space and seating. There were toys available and children's books for our small children making our packing even lighter. The road to cabin from the paved main road is gravel and has two steeper turns during the climb up to the cabin with did fine with front wheel drive car and front wheel drive light SUV with driving slow during our summer visit. I feel 4 wheel drive would be needed during winter weather. Would stay again!"
