  • Our cabin home away from home

"This is our 3rd stay in the Waterside Fox Creek cabin for a total of 4 weeks. Having stayed in other cabins we appreciate the special qualities of Waterside. The sight and sound of the roaring creek are just awesome. They are even better when enjoying the fabulous hot tub. Today we hiked up the trail along the creek again. It is so nice to enjoy this sunny, secluded trail privately. The cabin is so comfortable: the kitchen is a pleasure to cook in and even has a dishwasher! We love the seclusion yet being 5 minutes from downtown Bryson City. We feel like we are staying in a treehouse because the back deck is in the trees right at the creek; yet the car is just 3 steps from the kitchen door. The cabin is far enough away from and below the road, to not have to worry about our 2 little dogs. It just doesn't get any better than this!"

  • Nice, quiet cabin with easy access to the Smokies

"Overall - fantastic place...just wish my fiance and I had more time there. Instead, we were in the park most of our stay...the park entrance is super close to the cabin and this side of the park is fairly quiet with barely any traffic. Check-in/out was really easy with a lock-box at the cabin. Outdoor fireplace and deck furniture was nice - ready to go on arrival with a starter kit (extra wood near the driveway). Couple small downsides (keeping in mind that I'm giving an overall expect a good overall stay)...(1) pool table is way too big for the space - a foosball table or something smaller would fit the space better (2) bedroom is a bit of a squeeze...but really - the rest of the cabin is spacious and the bed is a nice king-size and (3) mattress was a little worn and not super-comfy or of the same quality as I would expect in a nice hotel. Outside of that, of course it's on a hillside with some nature and critters - which, while fun and expected, they can be a little loud in the middle of the night on the roof. Again, all of that considered, I'd give it 4 of 5 stars and well-worth it overall."

  • Amazing Cabin & view!!

"My wife & I just returned home from 9 incredible days at Eagle's Nest Hideaway. Hideaway is a fitting description & perfectly describes what we did. This cabin & the spectacular view were just too beautiful to leave. The cabin is so comfortable & wonderfully appointed. The King bed in the Master bedroom is the most comfortable bed we've ever experienced. The hot tub & fire pit were in perfect locations, & we spent a great deal of time in both. But the star of the show.... THE VIEW, was captivating! We were also struck by the quiet.... nothing but the sounds of nature. We did occasionally drive the 4 miles to the bottom of the mountain to have lunch, dinner, & short walks at the NOC which was very handy. As I write this, the words seem lacking. You MUST experience this cabin. We are already preparing to book next years trip. Thank you to the Watershed Cabins staff. & thank you to Stuart & Melody for sharing this home with us."

  • eco friendly cabin and peaceful rest

"I wish I could have spent more time at this lovely property. The eco cabin was spacious, clean, and homey. I slept soundly and felt well rested and relaxed during my stay. What a perfect location - the drive through the Smoky Mountain National Park was incredible."
