"We had a blast and you can not beat the location. We've stayed before at the cabin and it just gets better. The cabin is simple which is fine for us because we are always on the go or just enjoying the property."

  • Missing the "fairy tale" cabin already!

"It’s only been three days since we left and we are already missing the “fairy tale” cabin. Our family spent a week at your lovely cabin and we can’t wait to return. We saw wildlife, enjoyed the sauna and hot tub, the fire pit and really enjoyed the peacefulness and artistic touches around the cabin. Thanks for all the goodies you left for us. Robbie and Dale, you have thought of every detail for your guests and we really appreciated it."

  • Excellent views, kid friendly

"This cabin has outstanding views of the mountains from the enclosed porch on main floor with ample space and seating. There were toys available and children's books for our small children making our packing even lighter. The road to cabin from the paved main road is gravel and has two steeper turns during the climb up to the cabin with did fine with front wheel drive car and front wheel drive light SUV with driving slow during our summer visit. I feel 4 wheel drive would be needed during winter weather. Would stay again!"

  • Lovely spacious home

"we stayed here in July 2016. The home is lovely- all wood with wood floors and a very open feel. the upstairs has one bedroom with a queen bed, Walkin closet and large armoire. the 2nd bedroom upstairs has 2 beds ( full v queen) and one futon. there is another large closet and dresser. there is a full bath upstairs. downstairs has a large master bedroom king bed with spacious closets and huge bathroom. tons of room. the living room is very comfortable. there is a pool table and a large table inside which can seat 8 people. the kitchen was well appointed with appliances and cookware, dishes, even bakeware! outside deck is very nice with another table chairs, and the jacuzzi. there is a lovely grass area out back. the home is in a very private quiet area and very serene and peaceful. It was nice the owners provided a credit towards our rafting adventure as part of the booking.the kids really enjoyed rafting! why 4 stars? Well, when I booked the place I read all 16 reviews and not one mentioned the road issues. Perhaps recent rains changed the road conditions? Or perhaps it's a given everyone drives trucks/jeeps up here. It is a very gravely access road up to the house and then the driveway also -- with deep ruts. We had 2 cars for our group, one a nice sedan which bottomed out trying to get up the road. Since we arrived on a sat, we had to wait until Monday am (everything closed on Sunday) and then drive to Asheville to rent a higher profile vehicle for the week. had we known this ahead of time, we would have switched cars with a family member and driven the Jeep up. this was certainly an unexpected expense. the other thing to be aware of is that, as stated in the contract you really do need to bring all of your essentials- dish soap, sponges, cleaning spray, toilet paper, paper towels, beach/river towels, and linens for the futon. just to keep this in mind. there were a few other small things ( some areas needed a deep clean ) and we contacted the owners and they were very responsive. Our transaction was very smooth overall with payment, checkin and checkout. it is an absolutely beautiful area and close to many activities. Bryson city has some really good restaurants and fun shops. It is close to the deep creek area for tubing and very close to the smokies national park with many fun things to do-- hikes, horseback riding, fishing, rafting... We would stay here again. We had 7 in our group and the home worked well for us."
