  • Everything wonderful

"My husband, two dogs and I enjoyed a long weekend here and loved every minute of it. Tsali Recreational area, a great place to go mountain biking, hiking, etc., was only about a 20 minute drive from the cabin. We also recommend bringing along some bird seed if you are interested in some feathered friends while you are there. We did not want to leave the peaceful neighborhood, and neither did our dogs when our visit came to an end. Thank you for such a pleasant stay and having all of the comforts of home away from home. We cannot wait to visit again soon."

  • Perfect weekend getaway!

"My friends and I stayed here for two nights in July and couldn't have been happier! The location to Nantahala and Lake Fontana couldn't be more perfect. Bryson City isn't far of a drive either for a night out. The cabin is adorable. AC units in the bedrooms, comfy back porch, and the cabin was stocked with all the basic necessities. Thank you again Adrienne and Joel!"

  • Wonderful, peaceful cabin in the mountains!

"The Shepherds were wonderful to work with, very responsive. The cabin was just as described! The first place my kids went to was the small stream next to the house. Very peaceful and relaxing location. Everything you could need was provided. Cabin was also easy to find and nearby Bryson City and Smoky Mountain National Park were within short driving distances. While here, we drove into the national park and up to Clingman's Dome - great drive, saw lots of elk! We also did the Nantahalla Gorge train ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad out of Bryson City. It was really fun and great value for the money. Finally we did the KidZip course through Wildwater at Nantahalla Gorge and my kids had a blast! They have asked every day since doing it if they can do it again. Great area to visit and perfect place to call your home away from home! Thanks again for sharing your cabin!"

  • Comfy and Convenient Stay for Our Family Vacation

"Contacted the owner about a VERY last minute vacation rental for July 4th week. Luckily he had a last minute cancellation and it worked out wonderfully for all of us! Let me start by saying that the owner Roger is the perfect host! He was friendly, very easy to work with, and offered great tips about the area and things to do with our 10 year old son. He was super nice and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and that our vacation was enjoyable....and offered GREAT communication! The home is located on a peaceful and quiet mountain with a great "country" feel. We loved the hot tub on the covered back deck, the fire pit, the covered front porch with rockers, the homey feel, and the comfy beds. When we were planning our trip, we weren't quite sure which town we wanted to stay in and I'm happy to say Bryson City was the PERFECT location. It was VERY convenient to all of the activities we wanted to do as well as a super quick and easy ride to downtown, Cherokee, Lake Fontana, and Maggie Valley as well. We loved the easy access to everything, the comfort of the house, the stress-free booking of the place with Roger, the pet friendliness, and the quiet and peaceful surroundings. We will definitely be back! Thanks Roger for a great vacation rental!"
