  • Did not want to leave!

"I, my husband, and two friends rented the Pine Ridge Chalet from April 1 to the 4th. We had an amazing stay. The cabin was clean and very cozy. Two of the rooms were huge and could possibly hold more people if needed. The upstairs had a loft area with a futon, a closed room with a king size bed and ample room, and a small bathroom with a toilet and tub and sink. One of the downstairs room had a door leading out to the porch where you can sit on a swing and listen to the creek. The kitchen was small but we only used it for breakfast and managed nicely. Most of our time was spent outside. We were able to build a nice fire and roast some hotdogs and marshmallows. You are able to see the Hilltop Cabin, but it didn't bother us at all. It was extremely quiet and felt like we were the only ones on the mountain. The area was extremely peaceful and none of us wanted to leave. We felt like three nights was just enough time to get into the groove of things and wished we stayed for a week. If you are looking for a getaway, this is definitely the place to be. A couple of things I do want to mention. When we were looking at the reviews, all we saw were people worried about driving over the creek. We brought up my small car to save on gas. It's a Sonic Turbo LTZ. The creek was not the problem at all. When you hit the fork between Pine Ridge and Hilltop, things get a little bumpy and steep. There's a sign that says to maintain 12mph till the top. If you maintain that, you shouldn't have a problem but I would definitely recommend taking a V6 or 4WD. We plan on bringing my husband's jeep or our friend's truck the next time we come. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin. It's in the perfect location as it's very close to different sights and the town. The feel of the cabin location is priceless. You instantly become peaceful and forget your busy life. We all want to come back and stay longer."

  • The Charm of a farmhouse warmed our hearts...like a step back in time.

"O'Kelley's Farmhouse was the perfect place to stay and explore the Asheville area antique stores. We explored during the day and came back to the farmhouse to relax, cook on the outside grill and sit on the farmhouse front porch. The property is beautiful and the view of the mountains is breathtaking. Since the blue ridge parkway was just minutes from the house, we saw some wonderful views of the mountains. The upstairs hide- a- way was a perfect place for our grown daughter to have a space for herself. Our side-trips included Asheville, Waynesville, Hendersonville, and Chimney Rock...all were close and made for enjoyable days. The House was decorated with antiques but still had all the modern conveniences...We so want to return some day."

  • Great Place

"Great log cabin architecture in a very private setting. Great location with a short drive up to The Pisqah Inn where we enjoyed fresh mountain trout and a spectacular view!. Only 20 minutes from Asheville but a world away. We highly recommend Pisqah Paws and will be back next summer!"

  • Clean, fully stocked, and a beautiful setting!

"We had an excellent stay at the Catwalk Cottage. We arrived late at night, but it was easy to locate and was lovely to have the lights, music, and heat on when we arrived. We were pleased to see they had everything we needed for a comfortable 3-night stay, from basic paper supplies, spices and cooking oil to towels, sheets, and extra blankets. They even had a small crockpot, which was a real treat and let us go out to enjoy our day but come home to a meal ready to go. We made good use of the grill the following night as well. The location is beautiful and relaxing, and though it was a bit cold for us to enjoy being outside, we enjoyed the views through the windows. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for the four adults, my daughter, and my infant (who slept in the pack-n-play we brought). Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and they include numerous local magazines and pamphlets of the area and things to do in the home. Access to local stores is easy, and it's located within a reasonable drive to just about everything we'd want to do or visit in the Asheville area. Check-in and check-out were both a breeze, and we were simply thrilled with our stay. We will be back in the future!"
