  • Breathtaking!

"The cabin and the view is beyond description. Breathtaking is the only word that comes to mind. We also enjoyed our game of ping pong. If you love mountain views, this is the place for you."

  • Absolutley Perfect

"Rivers Whisper is nothing short of perfection. One can sit on the porch or on the deck and just watch the clouds go by. Views in all directions are breath-taking. House sits on a large piece of property so you plenty of privacy. We saw deer, turkeys, and the local cows each day. House has plenty of room and is very comfortable with everything one could want. My family and I had a great time in Franklin. House is convenient to tubing, hiking, zip lining, white water rafting, and shopping (if that's your thing). We did them all. Franklin is a wonderful town where the people are friendly and had lots of good places to eat. Caretaker of Rivers Whisper is very helpful and full of good information of the area. He sent us on a loop from the property to Wayah Rd which was breathtaking. So glad we found this place and hope to stay there again if we are ever back in the Franklin area. Thank you so much for our visit. Michael M."

  • Excellent Cabin

"My husband and I have never been in the Franklin area as we always venture to Brevard to see Pisgah, Dupont and Gorges. This was a nice treat to be relatively close to the Great Smokies in Cherokee. Plenty of places to hike and fish. We even ventured further north to Cataloochee Valley to see the Elk. WELL WORTH THE 2 HOUR DRIVE, however if you are prone to car sickness the roads would not be good for you in Cataloochee. The cabin is excellent. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, well stocked. Porches were amazing. The shower had great water pressure and tons of hot water, well needed after a full day in the mountains. I would recommend this cabin to families or couples. The living room was very accommodating, TV's worked great, plenty of channels. The drive is not bad, we made it up the driveway in a Honda Accord, just have to be careful to make sure no ruts or mounds are in the way. (There were not when we were there) During our time in Franklin, Cherokee and Cataloochee Valley we saw 11 Elk (4 males, 7 females), 6 wild turkeys a deer, a woodchuck, and a possum. My husband swears he saw the hind end of the bear, but I didn't see it so it doesn't count."
