  • Great Family Reunion

"We had a wonderful family reunion including multiple generations and ages from the 80's to 6 months. The house was comfortable, large enough to give everyone private space when needed and great gathering space to all be together. We cooked all our meals there and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essential cookware, utensils, etc. for that. We went up to Almond to rent pontoon boats and Carl's suggestion for the route to get there proved to be a beautiful drive. Our day on the lake tubing and swimming was fabulous. There are multiple hikes close by and even the three year old managed to get to the waterfall. There is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Lots of good memories were made! The only problem with our stay there was that it was too short."

  • Fourth of July Trip

"Recently visited Wildflower Cabin 3. First let me say the cabin is beautiful, secluded and kept very clean. And, Jeanette was a pleasure to work with. However, there are a few things that made the stay less than perfect. First, the air conditioning was not working on the top level. Although Jeanette was quick to get us a window air conditioner, it was quite uncomfortable for the room on the adjacent side of the home. Second, the day we arrived we found out that the bathrooms were not working at the clubhouse. And, it turns out, that they did not work for our entire stay. Third, the pictures on VRBO show a firepit on the property, which is correct. What they neglect to tell you is that you have to share it with the folks in Cabin #2, since it is in the middle of the two homes. Never got a chance to use it. Lastly, when we took our first shower in the Master Bath on the main floor, it leaked into the downstairs bedroom onto the night table where one of our guests had an ipad. For these reasons, I cant give it a 5-star rating."

  • Karen and Ronnie

"Beautiful home and surroundings. This was one of the cleanest vacation homes we have had the pleasure to spend time in. The grandkids loved the stream and the large yard. We loved the peaceful setting on the screen porch. The view was awesome. Close to all amenities. The welcome gift was very much appreciated. We were able to enjoy the white water rafting, got to visit Cherokee County, did a little panning for gems. We want to thank you so much for the opportunity to make some great memories. We very much hope to come back soon."

  • Cozy, comfy and cool

"My husband and I stayed here for six weeks, and it never disappointed. Relaxing, homey, incredible scenery - nothing was lacking. Whether we sat in the back, listening to the waterfall, sat on the front porch enjoying the hummingbirds, and the views of the mountains, or inside relaxing in comfort - we felt we had found a little bit of heaven. The house is wonderfully maintained, and set up so you need nothing but your own clothes and toothbrush. The kitchen is well stocked, the barbecue is great - we used it almost every evening. We ate many dinners on the back screened in porch, cool air wafting, and lovely sounds of the forest and water fall. And though we were only miles from Franklin, we felt we were away from it all. The house is nestled on a quiet road. We never lacked for another trail to hike, another waterfall to see, or a quaint town to visit and stroll. Even after six weeks, there was still so much more to see in the area, and so much more to do. We found some wonderful swimming areas - the bust your butt falls and the delicious pools in front of the High Falls (one of our favorite hikes), whitewater rafting, kayaking, and many beautiful hiking trails. And we always got to come back and relax at the cabin. Thank you. A lovely summer vacation home."
