  • Lakeside oasis

"We brought our grandkids ranging in age from 9-18 to this magical oasis. They spent hours in the water playing with rope swing, swimming, fishing, paddle boating etc. We took Annette's suggestions and explored the nearby waterfalls (kids favorite was Bust you Butt falls). They slid down the waterfall and jumped off the cliff. This is a great place for families! The house is well equipped for cooking and plenty of space for those seeking solitude. I spent every morning on the deck with my coffee before the kids woke up just enjoying the cool air and great view. Loved this place!"

  • Fourth of July Trip

"Recently visited Wildflower Cabin 3. First let me say the cabin is beautiful, secluded and kept very clean. And, Jeanette was a pleasure to work with. However, there are a few things that made the stay less than perfect. First, the air conditioning was not working on the top level. Although Jeanette was quick to get us a window air conditioner, it was quite uncomfortable for the room on the adjacent side of the home. Second, the day we arrived we found out that the bathrooms were not working at the clubhouse. And, it turns out, that they did not work for our entire stay. Third, the pictures on VRBO show a firepit on the property, which is correct. What they neglect to tell you is that you have to share it with the folks in Cabin #2, since it is in the middle of the two homes. Never got a chance to use it. Lastly, when we took our first shower in the Master Bath on the main floor, it leaked into the downstairs bedroom onto the night table where one of our guests had an ipad. For these reasons, I cant give it a 5-star rating."

  • Relaxing and enjoyable vacation

"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in the cozy cabin. We chose the cozy cabin as a get-away from stressful jobs. As we unloaded our car, we began to de-stress immediately! The sound of the waterfall was music to our souls. As soon as we were unloaded, we hurried to the back deck to enjoy the cool breeze and the sounds of the waterfall. We found the cabin provided everything we needed to allow a wonderful time away. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were very comfortable and the decks were amazing. We drove in several directions and found numerous beautiful sights in close proximity to the cabin. Our favorite drive was the road from the cabin into Highlands. We felt like we were reading a passage of Scripture by just viewing God's creation as we drove. We are most thankful to the Ricke family for allowing us to spend time at their cabin and we look forward to our next trip there."
