  • Amazing Views and Location

"My wife, three year old daughter and I spent a couple of weekends at Rugby's this spring. We couldn't appreciate his hospitality or home any more. We had everything there in the house we could ask for (gas grill, fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, new LCD TV's for night, and last but not least amazing views). The location is perfect for anyone who wants to be minutes from downtown Cashiers, but also close to some of the best hiking in the area in Panthertown. We can't wait to go back!"

  • Did not want to leave!

"I, my husband, and two friends rented the Pine Ridge Chalet from April 1 to the 4th. We had an amazing stay. The cabin was clean and very cozy. Two of the rooms were huge and could possibly hold more people if needed. The upstairs had a loft area with a futon, a closed room with a king size bed and ample room, and a small bathroom with a toilet and tub and sink. One of the downstairs room had a door leading out to the porch where you can sit on a swing and listen to the creek. The kitchen was small but we only used it for breakfast and managed nicely. Most of our time was spent outside. We were able to build a nice fire and roast some hotdogs and marshmallows. You are able to see the Hilltop Cabin, but it didn't bother us at all. It was extremely quiet and felt like we were the only ones on the mountain. The area was extremely peaceful and none of us wanted to leave. We felt like three nights was just enough time to get into the groove of things and wished we stayed for a week. If you are looking for a getaway, this is definitely the place to be. A couple of things I do want to mention. When we were looking at the reviews, all we saw were people worried about driving over the creek. We brought up my small car to save on gas. It's a Sonic Turbo LTZ. The creek was not the problem at all. When you hit the fork between Pine Ridge and Hilltop, things get a little bumpy and steep. There's a sign that says to maintain 12mph till the top. If you maintain that, you shouldn't have a problem but I would definitely recommend taking a V6 or 4WD. We plan on bringing my husband's jeep or our friend's truck the next time we come. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin. It's in the perfect location as it's very close to different sights and the town. The feel of the cabin location is priceless. You instantly become peaceful and forget your busy life. We all want to come back and stay longer."

  • Wonderful!

"While on our 20th anniversary get-a-way trip to Asheville, my husband and I stayed in this beautiful, well appointed, cozy chalet. We enjoyed using the sauna in the evenings and felt indulged with the radiant floor heating in the bathroom. There are several options for entertainment provided in the chalet-large screen TV, movies, music, and the sauna but we just enjoyed the reading on the porch! The property is located in a quiet neighborhood that is convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown, and the Biltmore Estate. A few local eateries that are close by that we highly recommend are The Korea House (downtown), the East Village Grill (Tunnel Rd)and The Copper Crown (Tunnel Rd). Jean-Jacque was very gracious and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property for a couple's weekend away and would not hesitate to stay here again!"
