  • Great fun!!

"We rented the Cloud 9 Relaxation Home (3 seniors, 2 dogs) as a single story place that was pet friendly, away from the congestion of Asheville but close enough to take in all of the attractions. Everything you read about the place on VRBO is accurate. It truly is a 20' drive into Downtown Asheville. You are truly living on a working farm but in a house with all the ammenities we city folk are used to. You truly do wake up every morning with the roosters crowing. Partake in as much of the farm activities as you like; we gathered eggs, fed the cows and chickens, picked fresh berries and vegetables and learned a lot about beekeeping while enjoying fresh honey and eggs. We enjoyed the trails around the property. Janet and Jeff couldn't have been more hospitable hosts."

  • Beautiful Home and Views for a family vacation

"Had 3 generations including a newborn stay and enjoy the Barco's home. There is anything you need at the house to prepare meals and we enjoyed the views while eating and playing games at the dining table. We enjoyed sliding rock, Lake Lure for swimming, and views along the Parkway as well as visiting the towns around the area. Definitely suggest for a relaxing vacation. The neighbors have cows and roosters and horses to watch from the decks. There is plenty of room to enjoy each other and room for privacy. Fun time had by all of us!"

  • Nice spot for the price

"This location is about as good as you'll ever find if you like the river and being close to the towns and attractions in the area. This property is nicely secluded and has a very long river-frontage that allows a nice walk and plenty of fish-able spots from the bank. We even saw some of the local wildlife throughout our stay. It's only 15 to 20 minutes up to Cherokee and great streams. About the same to Sylva and further south; pretty close to Waynesville as well. It's a bit small, but still a great value at the $132 per night. Sadly, after adding in all the fees and taxes, the 2-night price almost doubled the cost for our stay. I guess the motto here is..... just to stay longer. Hot tub was in great shape, great decks overlooking the river, and beds were good as well. Kitchen is small but adequate - no dishwasher except the manual kind. And no doubt, it is a real mountain cabin with easy access to the main road and local spots. Our cell-service was actually good enough to send & receive texts with no problem - AT&T."

  • Very cute house and in walking distance to town.

"Owner is very nice and Brevard was a nice town. Some construction going on near by so a little loud during day but was ok. We love North Carolina in the summer and fall."
