"My husband, dog and I spent from mid-October through November at the Mint Cottage. We really enjoyed staying in a place that felt like home. We work remotely, so the house was a perfect size for us. We used the 2nd and 3rd rooms/ bedrooms as offices. We loved the backyard. Even though you are walking distance to downtown Asheville, the backyard makes you feel like you are far from town. The property backs up to a creek and a wooded area. We loved the location. You can walk to the grocery store (there are two!), the Asheville Yoga Center, High Five coffee, and a few restaurants (HomeGrown, Luella's BBQ). It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk to downtown and it is hilly. We loved this area so much that we moved into the house right next door! So, please feel free to say hello if you stay at the Mint Cottage! We are in the bright blue house :)"

  • Absolutely Winderful

"This is the perfect Cabin in the perfect location. We wanted seclusion but close to Asheville and were surprised with this town of Weaverville only 10 min from Asheville. This little town has a beautiful downtown with great places to eat and shop along with the Blue Ridge Parkway a very short drive away. The cabin is at a Winderful location on a side of a hill and you can take a walk to the creek which is wonderful. Very high end cabin that is very warming inside. Does not feel like a vacation rental because it's not. The owners , which are local and very involved in Asheville put a lot of work into their cabin. Great Job!"

  • Piece of heaven

"I can not say enough to express how amazing this place is! My family of 3, my brother's family of 4, and our parents stayed here for 4 nights over the 4th of July this year. We try to do a big family trip once a year and everyone felt this was the best one yet! The road up to it is indeed a bit thrilling, but I quite enjoyed it and very detailed directions are provided. The house itself was spacious: each part of the family had their own floor to retreat to, with a wonderful open-concept 1st floor kitchen/dining/living room for everyone to meet for meals, games, and a place to talk. The deck was wonderful! We spent most of our time out there. There were gates on both ends and our 22 month old, 3, and 5 year olds played on the provided riding toys for hours, bro and I did yoga on the deck, used the gas BBQ, and just sat outside enjoying the forest and peace around us. Explored hiking trails right from the house. There were no fireworks allowed because of fire danger so we just barely heard the fireworks in Asheville, like distant thunder. For the combat vet in our group, not having to deal with random fireworks going off was a gift; he said it's the best 4th of July he's had since his deployment. The house is the last one up the mountain road, so incredibly private. It was a great homebase for trips to Asheville, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Mt. Mitchell State Park. All communications with the owner were prompt and helpful. They also provide everything you can think of from paper products to laundry detergent. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return!"
