  • Wonderful mountain home!

"We stayed at Round Mountain Lodge with another family in November 2016. This is such a nice cozy home and has so much more room than we anticipated! The basement is ample with lots of games and a foosball table, and all of the rooms are large and comfortable. There is even an office with a trundle bed. The kitchen is well stocked and labeled. Our favorite part was the deck and the beautiful view though. It doesn't get much better than that! The owners were very responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend this property!"

  • Cozy, homey cottage in a great location.

"We chose Trailside for its location in Hot Springs and proximity to the Appalachian Trail. We had a restful vacation in comfy beds and a homey atmosphere. Smoky Mountain Diner is a 5 minute walk away and has great breakfast. We walked to Lovers Leap from the cottage and drove north and south to a couple of more hikes on the AT. The hot tub was a luxurious amenity. The board games and books came in handy after nightfall. The cottage has any tools, dishes, cookery that one needs. It was fun to shower in the old claw-foot tub. We would stay here again."

  • Feels like home (away from home)!

"We really loved our time at this cabin! The grandkids ran straight for the creek as soon as they discovered it. We traveled by motorcycle, and our daughter came with her van and the 2 grandkids (10 & 14). The road was easily accessible by motorcycle and car. We really appreciated the covered parking space for our bike. We took many day trips in the van, and my husband took the grandkids and daughter on a ride at the Tail of the Dragon (Hwy. 129). Once we were familiar with getting to the cabin, everything was easy to find. Lots of curves and hills! A biker's dream ride. Took a trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and saw a bear run across the rode at Cade's Cove, also several deer. Took at trip on Hwy. 219 South, then 74 to Wayah Road. Lots of waterfalls on the way to hike to the Wayah Bald historic rock lookout tower, which overlooked Franklin, TN. We ended the week with whitewater rafting at Nantahala Outdoor Center. What a blast! The weather did not want to cooperate for having a fire in the fire pit for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, but we did it in the rain anyway! It was kind of a running joke…let's go home and build a fire so it will rain! Memories in the making. I loved sitting on the deck and listening to the creek and watching our family have fun. We got to meet the owners of this beautiful home, as they also own the cabin next door. They brought their grandson with them, which was great for our grandson as he had someone to play with. Thank you, Anna, for the delicious cookies and taking DJ for a float down the creek with you and Mason, and then feeding him lunch! He had a great time. It gave his big sister a break, too. She even had fun playing in the creek with Mason. Everything you could want (and more) was supplied, complete with inflated inner tubes for floating in the creek. All you need is yourself, clothes, beach towels, paper goods, and food if you are eating in! I am glad this was a positive experience for us, as it is the first time we have done a VRBO. We are already thinking about coming back again in another season!"
