  • Sadly we won't be able to return

"We come to the ranch every summer and always have a fabulous time. This summer, with the addition of two puppies between us and my parents, we had limited options. I was pleased to find this property at an affordable price and a very nice owner, Linda, to rent from. The home was beautiful and spacious, just as described. We were there during the time of all the smoke from the forest fires so we didn't get to appreciate the view as much but, even still, enjoyed the large windows and spacious deck very much. The only things I could see that would be easy to improve upon is the replacement of some pots and pans (the coating was chipping a bit) and upstairs, especially, was a bit dusty. My mom is a house cleaner and I have allergies so we may have been a little more sensitive to that area. The check out time (10am) was a little early and stressful for us. It made our last evening not as relaxing as I feel it could have been with a later check out time since we had to start on the to-do list. Again, those are petty things and I choose to focus on the positives which by far outnumber the minor negatives. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable. They had plenty of bikes for use. The ping pong table was a hit. Netflix a bonus. The layout of the home was perfect for the 7 of us. We were able to set up our dog pen between the kitchen and casual dining area without getting in our way. It's a shame that one situation had to ruin it for those who would like to return with their animal family, though, I can't say I wouldn't do the same. Thanks again, Linda, for allowing us to enjoy your property."

  • Beautiful home, perfect location!

"We enjoyed our stay at this spacious, beautifully furnished, and well-equipped home. Does and their fawns strolled by each day and even lingered to visit with our delighted grandchildren who kept calling to them to come closer. The hot tub and deck were our favorite hangout, but the extra table also provided a perfect spot for us to set up a puzzle for indoor entertainment. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning made sleeping upstairs possible. Loved the large tub in the master bathroom. The only drawback was the noise in the master bath, which we at first thought was a woodpecker. Apparently the fan is catching the breeze and banging consistently, which interrupted our sleep. Thank you for providing a lovely home for our family vacation."

  • Beautifully furnished home

"Home is just as described, updated, throughout, very inviting. Our stay over Christmas provided our family with plenty of snow, sleigh rides , sledding practically out the back door. Furnishings were comfortable and very clean. We loved the home and would definitely stay again.."

  • Our "Home Away From Home"

"Once again (this was our fourth stay at this home), this home delivered a wonderful kick-off to our summer vacation. We're a family with two parents, three kids, and one grandma who have made this home a yearly Black Butte tradition. The location on the cul-de-sac is ideal, and--unlike many homes in Black Butte--the house backs up to forest, not other houses! Little rock outcroppings make for wonderful fort-building and exploration when the weather turns a bit cooler. When it warms up, the home's proximity to the Glaze Meadow pool is ideal. The kitchen is fully outfitted, and the home owners have several unlocked bikes for use. It's not the biggest home in Black Butte, but it's got the best location as far as I can tell, and it utilizes great separation of space so that you never feel on top of one another. We're already looking forward to next year!"
