"We stayed the last week of summer and had a wonderful time. The view was amazing, weather perfect, lake beautiful, and the lake house was spacious, clean, and met all of our needs. It was also well stocked with basic supplies. We had five in our party, three adults and two teenagers. We were able to meet the owners, they came to extend the dock so we could better enjoy the water as water levels were low. They were kind and helpful, we really enjoyed visiting with them. The one and only suggestion we have is to replace and/or add some screens on sliding door and a couple of windows to keep the bugs out. Otherwise we had an awesome stay at Wallowa Lake!"

Prime geology location for day trips into the Blue Mountains!
"The rental is as described and was a perfect home base for our geo-fun vacation. We opted for the “get the forth night free option”, so were able to spend 2 full days exploring the John Day Fossil Beds, Painted Hills, and Clarno Unit at the Palisades, and still have an entire day left to explore the older rocks of the Blue Mountain terranes (Baker and Izee near John Day).
Additionally, the Post Office in front of the rental is a Pokestop for Pokemon Go. So you can also have hours of Pokefun simply by dropping lures and trying to catch’em all, while sitting in the comfort of the living room.
Christy made everything simple and easy.
We will definitely be back in the future!!"

"A friend and I stayed in the loft for three nights. It was well stocked and comfortably furnished (comfortable beds! Always a plus) and provided a great base for exploring the area for bird watching, hiking and driving back roads. The loft is within walking distance of restaurants (try the LG Brewskis Pub) the Union Museum (a great museum!), and the Union Hotel. Dave and Mindy were wonderful hosts and provided lots of information on things to see and do. I am a bird watcher, so they suggested we might try the Union Cemetery for owls, and one evening we found 3 juvenile and 1 adult Great Horned Owls lounging around the tombstones. The Ladd Marsh Refuge was great for bird watching, and nine miles away the somewhat funky Cove Mineral Pool was a fun visit. Thanks to Dave and Mindy for helping make the visit so enjoyable - I'll be back!"
