"Beth and John are fantastic to work with. I dealt mostly with Beth and she was very responsive and provided the details I needed to make my visit one to remember. To say their house is perfect is an understatement. The house has all the accommodations of home. It is nicely furnished and extremely clean (actually it is spotless). Beth and John provide you with the bed linens and bath towels. They have thought of the fundamental kitchen tools, dishes, utensils and cooking needs so that you do not have to take too many things with you. My favorite room to sleep in was the front room, it has windows on three sides which provides a nice breeze throughout the night and the smell of fresh ocean air is so refreshing. The larger bedroom (with queen bed) has an amazing breeze so that it almost feels air conditioned in there. The house was so open that we actually needed to put on a sweatshirt a few nights but that was such a refreshing change from the city heat (we opted for sweatshirts rather than closing any of the many windows). The house is on a corner lot which provides you with a significant amount of room, lots of privacy and more than enough parking spots (a number of the other houses in this area are very close together and do not provide you with this luxury). There is a short walk to a beautiful private beach, to a small public beach (the dog beach) and to the lighthouse (all of which I would suggest). The rooftop deck is great for watching the beautiful sunsets and for star gazing at night. The front deck is a nice place for you to eat lunch or dinner or to just relax and read a book (watching the sun come up from there is a treat also). At least once during your visit you must take an outdoor shower. It feels great and they have both hot and cold running water. The private beach is a very short walk away. It is nice to be able to get up in the morning and walk to a beach which is NEVER over crowded or noisy. Regardless of the time you decide to make your way down to the beach there is always a spot available for you to lay your blanket down. The water was warm on my visit and I spent a significant amount of time sitting in a tube just soaking up the sun. If I could provide more than a 5 star rating I would. This was certainly a trip to remember. Very relaxing and their home felt like home the minute we walked through the front door! Thank you John and Beth for a trip for the record books."

  • Great Family Vacation

"My husband and I spent the past week here with our ten month old son with a few family members visiting here and there. The yard was beautiful and had lots of seating options. As mentioned the yard is fenced in as it is on the corner of a main road. The three bedrooms are very spacious and the kitchen/family room was very open and inviting. The outdoor shower was fantastic after a day at the beach. Roger Wheeler beach was a quick walk (5-10mins at most), which was helpful for nap times. Many restaurants and Galilee are very close, which was great. The house was extremely clean and the owners were great to work with. We had some warm weather when we were down there, so we were glad we brought a few additional fans to use in addition to the ones provided. Would definitely stay here again!"

  • Great house full of extras!

"This is a beautiful house on a quiet street, just the right distance from a perfect kid-friendly beach (10 minute walk, pull the little ones in the wagon that comes with the house!). It's made all the better by being a house clearly lived in part-time by its owners, rather than a sterile, stripped down rental house like so many others in the area. The kitchen is full of dishes, utensils, spices, and all the odds and ends you might need. The downstairs play room and attic playroom/bedrooms are full of books for kids and adults, toys, dvds, there's even a racecar bed for the toddler boy in your group. There are chickens in the yard, laying four eggs a day (owner comes by to care for them, leaves the eggs for you!), a hammock, and a sturdy wooden swing set. The two decks provide great views and breezes, and the four-story setup of the house (finished walk-out basement and finished playroom attic) provides lots of semi-private space for extended family or friend groups traveling together."

  • Very clean, little cottage w/ amazing roof deck!

"My family and I (2 adults & 2 kids) rented this little cottage for a quick get away to explore RI. This cottage was the perfect size for the 4 of us and had all of the necessities and an amazing roof deck to boot! We loved the location, allowing us to explore several Narragansett beaches, Block Island, and Newport! This cottage is very well maintained and clean. We would definitely rent this cottage again!"
