  • Very comfortable condo in a great location

"This condo is the kind of comfortable HHI home base we've come to expect from the Beach & Tennis Club. It's in a quiet corner of the property, with plenty of shaded parking. The condo itself has room for 5 people, and well more than the 2 of us needed. It's clean and light, nicely appointed, with comfortable beds and ample closet space. There are beach accessories available in a closet by the door. We used the kitchen--though we also ate out a lot--and it all worked well. When we found that a lightning storm had fried one of the TVs, the owner got on it aggressively, purchased a new one, and had it delivered and installed ASAP. Though we're regulars on the island, we discovered 3 restaurants that we think are quite good: Charlie's L'Etoile Verte, where the seafood is delicious; The Black Marlin, which featured one of the best waiters I've ever seen; and (just off island, in Moss Creek) NEO, where I was introduced to a bleu cheesesteak, which I'm sure will be a featured sandwich in heaven. Great experience all around. Recommended."

  • Great place to vacation for the price!

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here with our two little girls (3 and 1 year olds) for vacation! It was a 5 minute walk to the beach, which was doable with our radio flyer wagon we brought with us from home. The pool and beach were wonderful! The air conditioner stopped working one morning and they had someone out to fix it within a few hours-- worked great the rest of the time. It was really nice to have all of the beach toys, boogie boards and floats provided so we could use them at the beach--total blessing to not pack or buy those things! It was tricky figuring out the sleeping situation for our daughters since they are both a little young to sleep in the twin cove bunk beds. We brought a side rail to put up on the lower bed for our oldest, which worked fine. But for the youngest, there was no great place to set up the pack & play and leave it for the week. We made it work by setting it up in the hallway by the twin cove beds at night and in the bedroom during the day. We hung a blanket up in the doorway to separate the twin bed cove hallway from the living room (there used to be a door there?) and that enabled us to go into the kitchen/living room at night without bothering the girls. (We didn't want our youngest sleeping in the same room as us at night, but we also needed to be able to enter and leave the condo at will during the day). It was kind of a pain setting up and taking down the pack & play multiple times a day, but it was better than making the entire living room/kitchen off limits each night and day. If the girls were older, this wouldn't have been an issue, but it is something to consider if you are thinking about staying here with little, little ones. Overall, the condo was clean, with contemporary decor, and was comfortable to live in for a week at the beach. If we were staying any longer I would have wanted a dishwasher, cooking pans with matching-sized lids and more countertop space in the kitchen, but I think I am just spoiled! It was a great place to stay for a beach vacation! Thank you, Coomer family! <3"

  • Great central location and lots of room for 2

"We typically rent in Sea Pines Resort, when that fell thru we opted for this great central location in an a condo with loads of room for us a 55+ couple. We were close to restaurants, shopping the larger movie theater and the great Xmas lights. The condo had all we needed for our 5 day, 4 night stay. We would do it again :) the WV Stephens"

  • Great beach stay

"The condo was exactly as advertised: Great views and comfortable. The property manager, Ms. Anne Schlecht, was helpful and efficient concerning any small issues we had. The apartment came with a complete set of beach furniture (4 chairs, sun-Brella with a sand-screw and some toys) Thank you"
