"Oceanfront (corner unit) and being located on the first floor of the complex was a plus during our stay. Decor in the pictures portrays the unit; however, this unit could use a deep clean and minor updates/refresh. The furniture and pillows are soiled. A little disappointed that we had to wipe down the kitchen counter and clean out the fridge upon arrival. (Not what I wanted to do after a 12-hr drive.) Carpet was obviously refreshed in walkway areas, only as we moved the ottoman and found food underneath. (Attempted to vacuum, but that didn't seem to work.) The bedspread in the master bedroom needed to be washed/replaced with a fresh one, so we pulled it immediately. I tend to clean during my stay as if it were my own, so I was a bit surprised of the surface areas that hadn't been touched in a while. (Unfortunately, typical of a rental.) A minimal investment toward cooking utensils, cookware and serving bowls would be of benefit. The screened porch area (that has a lock from the inside) was great for our beach items to avoid bringing any items from the day in the unit. The washer and dryer worked well and it was nice and quiet being located in a locked room right outside the door. We arrived very late and found there to be no parking -- we learned from security that we could park across the street. The keypad on the door was easy to operate. This unit is conveniently located (less than 5 mi) to Kroger, Walmart, Tanger Outlets, putt-putt golf and many tourist shops and restaurants. I'd recommend the Chesapeake House for dinner!! Boardwalk at the Beach is a short drive and great fun. Steve was a pleasure to work with and responsive to all my questions via email and text."
