  • Well decorated, nice location.

"The condo décor was very nice and clean. It is also well stocked. The pool area and the view of the lake from the condo were also nice. We like to play tennis and had a hard time finding the courts. They were tucked away in a hidden location with a large pool area right across from them. A local resident told us that even though they are the largest in the resort area they are less crowded because people don't know they are there. On the third night after tennis we got in the pool. As we were leaving, a security guard approached us and asked to see our pool pass. We showed her, and she said she has never seen a pass like that before. We told her where we were staying and explained to her that we could not get into the pool area with out it in front of our condo and wondered why this large pool nor the tennis courts required a pass like this one and why it was just opened. She said she was going to have to look into it and wondered if the pass was something new they were doing and eventually going to make all pool entries use them. I asked to make sure we were okay to use the courts and the pool with the pass we currently had and she said she would let it slide. I asked if there were tennis courts located somewhere else we should be using and she said no those were the only ones in True blue. I suggest a map of the property with detailed instructions on where the tennis courts are located and if you are allowed to use the large pool right next to the courts. My only complaint about the condo is there was a distinct strong odor that we could not quite figure out what it was. It almost smells like a musky cigarette smell. We bought some air freshener to try and cover it up. That did not work. When we got home from vacation and went to unpack all our clean clothes smelled like the condo. The smell on the clothes almost smelt like cigarettes. Needless to say, I had to wash all our clean clothes because the smell was so bad and spray our bags with febreze. Also, we had a 5th guest who used the pull out sofa. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable and you can feel every spring in the mattress. We went to Walmart the next day and bought a memory foam topper (1.5 inch) for $50 and it made the mattress tolerable. It also folded up in the couch during the day no problem. I suggest buying one and getting rid of the plywood under the cushions. We love Pawleys Island and the area this condo is located in. Other than the minor issues we enjoyed our stay."

  • Absolutely Beautiful

"My wife and I rented this condo for the entire month of February 2016 and we echo the positive comments of others in this forum. The condo is immaculately furnished, clean, quiet and has a spectacular golf course view that repeatedly draws you to the large living room window and the balcony. We spent many hours sitting on the screened balcony and watching golfers make their approach shots and then putting on the 17th green of the True Blue Golf Course. True Blue itself is a little on the expensive side but there are many beautiful courses in the immediate area and various deals are available, often depending on the time of day. If you are a golfer and would like a little refresher or some help with a specific part of your game, the Steve Dresser Golf Academy is just a short walk from the front door of the condo and offers a variety of lesson plans. We took an afternoon clinic and picked up some valuable tips. The February weather was a mix of cold temperatures, some rain and sun. On the rainy days, we were quite comfortable to remain in the condo and enjoy reading, computing or watching television. The Pawley's area is away from the crazy commercialism of Myrtle Beach but has all the stores and shops you need close at hand. We love nature and walking. We spent many days walking the beach and visiting the Huntington Beach State Park and the spectacular Brookgreen Gardens which is directly across the road from the park. We loved Brookgreen so much that we made a second full-day visit. It is a must see, full of breathtaking sculptures, beautiful walking paths and wildlife (including alligators). Even in the month of February it was a gorgeous place; we can only imagine how amazing it must be when spring comes and everything is in full bloom. We love the people of South Carolina. This was our second visit to the state and everywhere we went we were met with warm smiles and friendly conversation. Our stay included a quick drive down to Charleston where we undertook a self-guided tour of this historic city. This is another must do activity if you enjoy walking and history. The condo owners are super friendly and helpful. You couldn't ask for better folks to help you with your stay. If our future travels have us returning to South Carolina we would certainly try to reserve here again. We have no hesitation in giving the owners and their condo a five-star rating."

  • S. Griffin, Charlotte

"We enjoyed our weeks stay at Anchor In........lovely and very comfortable home. It brought lots of memorys back to Maryann and Sally who have been coming to Pawleys Island for over 50 some odd years. Actually having stayed at Anchors In very many years ago. We sat on the screened porch and I would listen to them reminscing about the different places they have stayed The Rucker, Thomas Cottage, Rudy's Roost & etc. The comment I most remember is that when they stayed at Anchor's In with their parents it was their mothers favorite place because of how comfortable and well furnished it was. And it still is, we came home so relaxed that we are having a hard time getting ourselves motavated to get something accomplished here at home. My dogs has the best time as well.....the setup for them was perfect. Thank you allowing us to share your wonderful home."

  • One-of-a Kind Family Beach Rental

"We had a family vacation on PI in June 2016 with 12 adults and a 7-month-old child. Log-Inn was one of two cottages we rented on on Myrtle Avenue. It was our base of operations and the place where we grilled out and ate our family dinners. We felt right at home there. We loved the setting on the marsh and cul-de-sac, the proximity to the beach, and the fireplaces and other unique aspects of the building design. It was very special to be given the privilege of sharing this family home with the owners and to read their childhood memories of growing up on PI. We enjoyed our communications with the owners and found them to be very responsive to their renters."
