Vacation rentals near Thinkery

My spouse and I wanted to visit Austin, TX, but didn’t really want to be in a busy part of the city. This gem (lovingly named CasitAlegre) is within a 20 mins drive of all kinds of downtown entertainment and restaurants, but remote enough that it is quiet and relaxing. Claudia has set up this rental property with such TLC, including your own little yard space complete with a deck, seating, a hammock and shade for those sunny Texas afternoons. The house is well equipped with all you need to make meals and do laundry if you need to. She even hooked us up with fresh organic coffee beans, cream and eggs for our first morning, which was such a treat since we arrived very late the night before. The house is spotless and is very comfortable. Wander around the rest of her property to find unique pieces of her pottery and meticulously cared for ponds, a swimming pool and a variety of eco-friendly elements (eg. Water collection). This is a one-of-a-kind rental and I hope we can return again soon!!Thank you for your wonderful hospitality Claudia :)

Highly recommend. We stayed here with a group of 13, the property is everything it is advertised to be and more. Tony and Magdalena are the best hosts I have ever had for a rental property. Very attentive, great communication, and made everything so easy and smooth for us. We were even able to get a party barge to pick us upright at the dock for a day on the lake.

From start to finish an amazing place and communication. We struggled logging through the door and instant response and follow up to ensure we got in. Instructions were clear and like i said in the title. Everything you can think of is here. Well worth and honestly the best by far we have been in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again. It's very private and has a GORGEOUS view of Lake Travis and the 'best sunsets in Texas!'

The property and house are fantastic, just as advertised! The pool is a welcome escape from the heat in Austin, don’t think we could have been there without it! Totally recommend if you have larger group & want a place you can retreat to. Only 2 things to mention as improvements: 1) The coffee machine only takes pods, but there were no pods to be found unfortunately. We went out to the local coffee shop to bring back our coffees each morning. 2) the dishwasher power is controlled by a light switch, pretty sure it says this in the into message - but we didn’t see that unfortunately, so thought it wasn’t working. Might be a good idea to put a little sign on the dishwasher or switch indicating this, so that others don’t make the same mistake. Overall though - definitely recommend staying here!

We had a great time with family at Camp Sandy - so much to do, inside the house and outside on the large property. Close to a lot of amenities, not that we needed to leave for much! David was very friendly/professional and quickly attended to any issues that came up. Overall a great vacation destination!
