  • Great stay for a girls weekend!

"We had a fantastic visit to Austin on our girls weekend get away. The house made for easy access to hiking trails, exploring the city and relaxing by the pool. The house is removed from the hustle and bustle of the downtown/SOCO neighborhood but it's a short drive away. It was great to return to the house and cool off at the pool after our adventures. The house was clean and well stocked with anything we would need."

  • Cozy home with country feel but close to Austin

"We really enjoyed our weekend stay in this comfortable guest house. The owners were quite nice and very accommodating. It truly felt like we were way out in the hill country, we saw deer and other wildlife each time we would take our dogs out for walks (our city dogs were very confused by the deer!) but in actuality we were only about 12 miles from the heart of S Congress and it was also an easy (and beautiful) drive to Pedernales Falls and our other favorite hiking spots. The bed was comfortable, the fridge was stocked with water, beer and wine and the kitchen had everything needed for preparing the occasional meal. The only thing we couldn't find was a toaster-we had spent the evening before relaxing by the pool/hot tub, looking at stars, and drinking the bottle of wine left for us-so I think we could have overlooked it!"

  • First Austin Adventure - Not Our Last @ Cistern Annex!

"Incredibly smooth reservation, check-in; Vicki was super helpful by providing detailed information about the Cistern Annex and surrounding attractions and food recommendations. We had a 2 year old with us, and it was perfect to have her upstairs in her pack & play sleeping, while we were downstairs enjoying wine & a movie. The HUGE backyard was wonderful and serene; we would have loved a tour of their pottery studio, but unfortunately they were out of town. We still peeked at their incredible work though :) It as our first time in Austin (coincidentially during SXSW), and the Cistern Annex was exactly what we were looking for and lived up to the hype. It was in a fantastic neighborhood, close to everything, and absolutely comfortable from beginning to end. HIGHLY recommended!!!!"

  • Spacious and clean house with hill country view including a well equipped kitchen and outside grill

"The two of us rented and enjoyed the comfort of this house for a two month stay located in a quiet, walkable neighborhood. Owner provided easy anytime house entry and a prompt texting response. A large master bedroom (with queen) and ensuite plus walkin closet including a large screen tv were great comforts. Upstairs bedrooms with full bath are great for additional family or guests. Kitchen appliances are deluxe stainless and washer/dryer are a plus. Startup essentials were provided with great choices for shopping nearby. Cable and movies provided for our rainy days which we had only 2 or 3 our entire two month stay. Garage provided secure inside parking. Our dog was welcome and I appreciated the fenced backyard. Nearby Lakeway Park provided great paved running access with water views. With close proximity to Austin and hill county towns we were able to enjoy many day tips to wineries and local restaurants. Hope to be back next year to experience warm temps and blue bonnets while avoiding northern Michigan winter."
