  • Legacy Hideaway

"We loved this home! I chose the home to host a bachelorette weekend. The drive wasn't bad to Fredericksburg at all, and the home was very accommodating for a bigger group. The windows/scenery contributed to the atmosphere, too. We loved our stay!"

  • Christmas in the Hill Country

"We were so lucky to stay at Riachuelo Ranch at the Creek House this Christmas Holiday. The property is absolutely stunning, the adobe style house blends in so well with the surroundings. Waking up the the sound of water in the creek was so enjoyable, and watching all the different kinds of birds come to the feeders in the mornings will be some of my best memories. Bernard gave myself and my brother who has down syndrome a ride on his Teryx 4 wheeler all over the ranch, he explained all the ins and outs of the working ranch. He even gave us loose corn to feed all the goats on the ranch, it was great, my brother and I really enjoyed it. One of the days we were there it was in the high 70's so we jumped into the swimming hole for fun. My Mother said it was the best Christmas and best vacation she's ever had. This is a great experience for anyone wanting to get away and have some peace and quiet in the beautiful Texas Hill Country."

  • A way too short vacation!

"Chinquapin! I'm not sure too many of our 30+ guests learned how to pronounce the ranch name, but they all called it wonderful! Our family reunion covered an age range from 12 months to 85 years old! Relatives came from Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia. We settled in for 3 nights of bliss. We especially made good use of the "pool!" We used the floats, kayaks, paddle boat and rope swing! My 7 yr old grandson learned how to paddle a kayak in about 10 minutes and was all over the place with it! The water was COLD which was great for July air temps! The eldest were able to watch all the water play comfortably from the shady patio by the house. The kitchen was a focal point for sure and we had such fun cooking and prepping food in the open space. There was just so much room for us to hang out! Oh, fishing! There were a handful who fished in the lovely fish pond and got to witness one catch and release of a nice sized bass. The little children were thrilled with the playground! And the older kids loved the rec room. No one was bored!! The different cottages provided perfect comfort for sleeping. Each cottage was just adorably decorated and outfitted. We really could not have asked for better lodging for all of us The pictures on the listing are great but seeing it all in real life - it is all even more beautiful!! We are already talking about next year! And we hope we can stay longer, for sure!! Thank you, Cecilia, for your help and advice. It was truly a terrific place for our reunion!!"
