  • Great place to stay

"This was our first time to try VRBO & our first time to Travis Lake and both were terrific! The condo was more spacious than I had expected with 3 men over 6' and 3 women who each need their own bathroom counter space; this place more than met our needs! The top decks had views of the lake & lots of wildlife. The eminities with the condo can't be beat:: tennis courts, pool, golf course, marina, lakeside park, boats ramps, etc! We had a few glitches but the owner was quick to repond and she was so easy to work with on my terrific 49th Bday weekend! We loved it & have already recommended to our friends who like us have big men with boats & golf clubs! My family is ready to go back, maybe even when it's cold so they can use the very retro fireplace!"

  • Fantasic Rustic Wedding Day Experience!

"We wanted a special, secluded weekend getaway on the lake. The other reviews are dead-on. It's an amazing home that is clean and cared for, that feels full of love and warmth. Parking on the street reveals only an address sign. As you start to go down the little path, the house comes into view. Not sure when it was built but has great lines, reminiscent of late 70's architecture. At the end of the path, a wood bridge escorts you to the front door. Then you enter a thoughtfully furnished rustic retreat. The blinds can all be opened filling the house with light. Wood tiled ceilings bring the outside in and make the space feel cozy. The balance and harmony of the house and the spaces made me wonder if the owner was some type of designer. Per the other reviews, everything was supplied - clean towels and sheets, a respectable kitchen, and a view to go crazy for. It actually rained the entire time we were there, but we were able to open up all the blinds and watch the rain replenishing the cove. It did stop long enough to sit out on the deck for a while in the evening. But with a comfortable bed and the sound of the rain falling, we had an amazing sleep. The owner was fantastic, available for questions and information, but allowing total privacy. Will definitely have to get back - want to get in on that sunset view next time! It was only my husband and I but it would be a nice place for two or three children as well. Would definitely make a nice family getaway."

  • Perfect wedding HQ

"My family and I rented this house for the day before and the day after my daughter's wedding, which was held in the area. We utilized the upstairs for the DJ and his family and the photographer and her family, while our family spread out downstairs. It was the perfect location to serve as HQ as we coordinated and enjoyed the wedding. The home was spacious and cleam and had everything we needed -- and had fantastic decor (once we added some Aggie things)! Bill was super responsive and met every single request we had. Since it was near the 4th of July, we sat out on the balcony upstairs and watched the fireworks displays over the lake. Absolutely amazing! I would definitely stay in this home again. Thanks for the exemplary hospitality, Bill!"
