  • What a wonderful place

"Beautiful cabin on Lake Champlain. Wonderful open plan but with private bedrooms. Great kitchen for cooking a good meal. Decks all around for watching sunset over the lake and hearing the loons call. The cabin is in a beautiful secluded area with lots of walks within short driving distance and back roads for exploring. Don't forget to check out the amazing Shelburne Museum about 10 miles away. One thing that I really loved was the sense of history the place has. It's thoroughly modernized, but you can tell the house has been loved and appreciated by the people who have owned it."

  • Amazing Experience

"My wife and our little 2 year old lab were looking for a nice quiet getaway to escape our busy everyday lives. This place was the perfect place to unwind. When we arrived Barb was nice enough to show us around the house to make us feel comfortable as to where everything was. The views of the lake are breath taking from anywhere inside of the house. Just waking up to the views or eating breakfast and looking out of the window made you not want to leave the house at all. We did do some touristy things during our 5 day trip. The accommodations were two thumbs up. In addition to the view, the other great part of the stay was that the house had an open floor layout so you always felt connected with others in a different room. The fire place kept us nice and warm at night while we were catching up on our television shows. If you have amazon fire or a google chromcast, be sure to bring it as the television in the house has limited tv stations, however, we did have a dvd player and we brought many movies. NY State is just a 5 minute drive down the road and over the bridge where we were able to walk and run our furry friend. Overall it was an amazing trip."

  • Perfect setting for family gathering in scenic vermont

"The location fit us perfectly. The setting was beautiful. The house accommodated a crowd for dinner. It turned out to be an excellent fit and a bit of a Godsend for our needs: extended family needed accommodations for sudden funeral in Hinesburg during the peak of foliage season. The owner was extremely responsive. And again, the setting was beautiful..... We spent some time imagining ourselves buying the property. Drawbacks: Of the 4 bedrooms and 2 other sleeping spaces, only 3 rooms had real beds. the sleeper sofa was not comfortable enough to sleep on unless you are very young and can sleep anywhere. The office space had a few mattresses that worked out as a single bed. The basement entertainment room with futon was too musty for anyone with allergies to stay in. Overall - a place i would recommend and rent again."
