  • Beautiful, clean and well maintained. Lovely lake.

"Our family had a wonderful time: Six adults, a 6 year old, a 3 year old and a 6 month old baby. The house is lovely, immaculate and spacious as well as air-conditioned which helped during the hot weather. Beautiful screened in porch with a view of the lake. Plenty of room for people to stretch out. As the weather was beautiful, mostly we didn't ever leave except for groceries. Two bike riders found lovely mountain trails nearby. The lake is clean and the little boys enjoyed fishing. There are easy steps from the dock down to the the water which is shallow enough at first for the 3 year old non swimmer to play comfortably. There are also beautiful old pine trees near the water which provided shade when it got hot and for the baby. It is a long steep climb down to the water which we didn't mind, but some might. Also, one of the bedrooms doesn't have windows which some might mind. The owners were friendly and left out material for S'mores when we arrived. We hope to go back next year. We were there during the races in Saratoga and discussed going, but we were all having such a relaxed time, the hassle didn't seem worth it."

  • Just What We needed!

"We were looking for a cottage on a lake near the Fort Ann Soccer facility where my grandson was to spend five days. Away from the hustle and bustle of Lake George (but close enough when needed), Hemlock House was in a perfect location. The house was clean, well stocked and the owner came immediately when a light fixture had to be replaced. There were ample linens, good beds and did I forget to mention the fabulous screened porch and view of the lake. The waterfront, a short walk down from the house had the canoe and kayaks, life jackets and lots of fish to catch right off the dock. We had a fine week at this house and would highly recommend it."

  • Beautiful Property and Great Location

"This property is one of my personal favorites I have rented so far. The property looks a little rough on the outside when you first arrive, but all of the charm is contained within. The whole house is very open, with plenty of room for a full family or two. The rustic feel might not be for everyone, but our group loved the sliding doors and exposed columns. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed and the ping pong table was used a great deal. Day trips to both Killington and Okemo were quick and easy. Will definitely recommend to friends in the future."

"What a wonderful, affordable find! The diner has funky decor, a most comfortable bed, fully-equipped kitchen, and plenty of room for two. Thank you for the getaway! It was relaxing and soothing!"
