  • Cozy, quirky house with very hospitable owners

"We had a great time at the Mad River House. The home owners were great with communication leading up to our visit and throughout. The place is really comfortable, although not pristine--but the owners were upfront about that. We didn't mind, because we were traveling with children, and didn't want to feel like we were staying in a museum. The idea was for everyone to relax. The fireplace was lovely, and we were provided with plenty of warm blankets and pillows. We got in some sledding, great food, and incredible beers. Overall the trip was a success."

  • Multi-Family Ski Weekend

"I cannot recommend this property more enthusiastically. It was perfect for a ski weekendThe house is spacious, clean, and conveniently located to both Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, and Waitsfield's restaurants and shops. The mud room is fantastic and we had plenty of space to store our gear without worrying about getting the house dirty. We had three couples stay in the home comfortably. The layout allowed the couple with children to stay on one side with access to the kitchen while those of us without kids could sleep in and not be disturbed. The owners were very communicative and welcoming, even leaving us a few treats upon our arrival! We fell in love with the house and the area and hope to be able to return again soon. My only advice would be to make sure your car can handle driving in snow or mud, since the house is on a dirt road."

  • Great Ski House

"The house was as advertised. Kevin made sure we knew how to get into the house and what to expect. He also answered all of our questions and did so in a timely manner. Plenty of space for numerous adults and kids. The satellite tv was a big hit with the children after a long day skiing or sledding. The house is very close to the main access road to Sugarbush as well. We enjoyed eating at the Hyde Away Inn and the Blue Stone. Both are less than a five minute drive. If we were to complain about anything it would be that our minivan had a difficult time getting up the road and into the driveway. Four wheel driver wouldve been a big help. We would absolutely stay here again if we chose to go back to Sugarbush."

  • Great location, easy access to the mountains

"Spent a great weekend, at the cozy ski cabin, easy to find, great communication from the owners. the place is nice and has everything you need, the king bed upstairs is very comfortable (temper-pedic I think) and the flannel sheets were so cozy. Highly recommend, especially if you need to bring along your pup."
