  • Perfect Vacation

"What a beautiful and peaceful place to get away for a couple of days. Linda has created an incredibly relaxing environment in a house that just feels perfect. Somehow it's cozy and spacious at the same time. Great view of the lake & the woods, extremely well appointed kitchen, warm pellet stove, delicious tap water, great shower (and tub), really comfortable furniture, and the most comfortable sheets we've ever slept in. The lake is small, quiet & beautiful, and we went hiking on the appalachian trail which is about 5 min away. I really couldn't imagine anything about it being better."

  • Long weekend in modern cozy cabin in Woodford.

"We spent a long weekend at the Moose Lodge with our adult kids and some close family friends before my daughter headed back to college from winter break. The house had great access to the VAST trails, and plenty of room for a couple of trailers which was important to us. The kitchen was well stocked and made up for any little things (olive oil) that I forgot to pack for our meals. Beds were super comfy, with the flannels in the master the softest I ever slept on. Ping pong was great for keeping us entertained in the evenings. We normally snowmobile in Wilmington, but the access from Woodford was great and so were the trails even though most other areas were not so good. Would definitely love to come back and stay at the Moose Lodge again."

  • Great place and great location!

"We booked a trip with 10 of us which consisted of 5 adults and 5 kids from age 7-15 years old. The house was the perfect size and plenty of beds to accommodate us. The owner was responsive from day one and was always available when needed throughout the process. We lucked out and it snowed around 12 inches the night we arrived so skiing conditions were great! The mountain was less than 2 miles away which made it way to get to. There is a shuttle but we did not take advantage of it though. Great mud room at the front door for all to leave their stuff there, heat was good throughout the house, plenty of firewood to have the fire going all day and evening. Unfortunately the grill didn't work, I think the regulator was bad which connected to the tank, but an easy fix with a replacement of the line. If you are looking for a nice house for a good size group and convenience to the mountain, this is it! I would definetely rent it again!!!"

  • Wonderful Home

"We stayed at 9 Tamarack Lane from February 9th through the 13th for my birthday and my son in law’s. Catherine was wonderful to deal with – no issues at all. The house was perfect. There were 10 of us: my wife, my son and daughter and their spouses along with 4 granddaughters, ranging in age from 5 to 13. The large living areas and huge kitchen and dining table made for wonderful après skiing relaxing and dining. My wife and I especially enjoyed having the master suite on the first floor. There were bedrooms and bathrooms (important with 4 granddaughters) galore affording plenty of privacy and quiet time when needed. Mother nature was kind to us and delivered a ton of great snow, so the skiing at Mt. Snow was exceptional. I could go on, but suffice it to say that I agree with the other exceptional reviews."
