  • Cozy and well equipped cabin

"We loved staying here, it was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook really great meals, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice, and the views were lovely. The house was nice and clean when we arrived, and our toddler loved playing with the toys we found there. We made s'mores around the campfire and enjoyed fishing at the pond. Angie was very easy to work with, she replied quickly when I asked about the coffee pot (it's a regular coffee maker, not a Keurig, in case you were wondering). We would love to come back and stay here again in the future!"

  • A Lovely Historical Home

"A lovely home located near the historical area of Winchester. A wonderful home to spend a couple days relaxing after having spent a busy week before with our 9 year old grandson. We met his mom in Pennsylvania to return him after our visit and Winchester was a nice place to stay a couple of days before returning home. We enjoyed the restaurants and the shops that were close enough to walk to. The weather was very warm so we spent time just hanging out in the home. We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and the old town area. Justine was a pleasure to work with and she had everything clean and ready when we arrived. The house is perfect for a larger group as it has plenty of space and nice bedrooms. I would definitely recommend a stay in this very quaint and historical home. We hope to return sometime in the future."

  • Perfect getaway

"Perfect little cabin. Nestled in the woods with no neighbors too close for comfort. Has everything you could possibly want. It rained the whole time we were there so we had to stay indoors mostly, but we're not bored. Has all the movies on Netflix and roku plus a vast DVDs collection. Has a great selection of board games not just for kids. Plus wii and PlayStation 3 so there's plenty to do if you do get stuck indoors. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in when away from home. And the price is great compared to what I pay for a lot of rental properties. If your thinking about booking do it! You won't be disappointed we weren't. Can't wait to go back when the weather is nicer"

  • Perfect cabin in the fall!

"This is probably the 8th time I have taken friends up to the Black Bear cabin (including folks from Europe & Australia) & everyone falls in love with it. There is nothing like a hike in the woods in full fall colour. The next best is hunkering down around the blazing wood burning stove. The third best is being without our cell phones or internet for a weekend, uninterrupted quiet time. As always, the cabin is clean as a pin, every time I go up there we find yet another new touch, the latest is backsplash tiles in the kitchen with bear paws prints. For those who aren't looking for bear, I have only heard (not even seen) one bear during one visit, but it's a treat to discover paw prints along the spring fed brooks occasionally. They are a very shy bunch. Thank you to the owners who take such great care to make our stays memorable."
