  • Relaxing Weekend Getaway

"My husband and I decided last minute that we wanted to get away for the weekend to unplug and unwind with our two boys (2 and 3.5 years old). Our time at Maggie's Cottage was exactly what we needed. We only ended up staying for one night but because check in was early and check out was late afternoon the next day, we had plenty of time to enjoy the cottage, explore the property, go fishing at the pond, and hike at white oak canyon during our stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and pretty much had everything we could possibly need. Our boys really had fun fishing at the pond and sitting by the fire to make s'mores. My husband and I really just enjoyed being surrounded by nature. It was very relaxing. We will definitely be coming back to Maggie's Cottage again, but next time we will stay much longer!"

  • Perfect home away from home

"This cottage provides everything you need for an absolutely heavenly weekend. Alton could not be more helpful and responsive. Everything about Carrie's cottage is right - the kitchen is ideal for cooking in, the fire keeps you warm and the landscape is ideal. Love this place!"

  • Beautiful home in the perfect location!

"Gorgeous home in perfect proximity to hiking the Little Devil's Stairs, far enough from civilization to be remote without feeling cut off. The hosts were very accommodating (and pet friendly), leaving us a lovely bottle of wine in the fridge and allowing a late check in. The owners were unable to meet us for check in, but their daughter made sure we were settled."

  • Fantastic, charming old clean/comfy farmhouse

"Clean. Comfortable. Charming. Quiet. This was a fantastic find. Impeccably clean, it felt like I had transported myself to my grandma's house 60 years ago except for the satellite TV, hot tub (SUPER clean), and comfortable new beds. Your own little piece of heaven. 2 mins from food, groceries, and whatever you need to live. 15 mins or less to all attractions like the Luray caverns, Shenandoah, horseback riding (Jordan Stables was super fun, kind and family operated). The owner of this farmhouse, Gary was kind and helpful and wasn't around to bother you in your serenity. Sheets, towels, tissues and soap and coffee all provided. I highly recommend staying here"
