  • Wild Lily Amazingness!

"Our stay at the Wild Lily cabin in Index was terrific. The cabin had everything we could ask for and more, including a beautiful main cabin, 2 smaller cabins, a hot tub, and a private short walk to the Skykomish River. We were able to go on a rafting trip down the river and a few people in our party were excited to learn that Index is home to some of the best rock climbing in the US. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Looking forward to staying there again soon!"

  • Right on the river

"Wow, talk about ON the river! I am so pleased I was able to rent this cottage at the last minute when my planned camping trip was going to be rained out. I was really impressed with this cottage's secluded location, proximity to the river, and the outdoor deck. The property description is right; the sound of the river is everywhere! Note, I rented the cottage only, not the annex. Pay attention to the captions on the pictures since some are of the cottage and some are of the annex. The cottage is surrounded by forest and although there are neighboring houses on either side, it is very private. There is a fire pit and horseshoe pit in the front side yard, but we spent all of our time in the back of the house by the river. There is a small back yard which is mostly taken up by the large deck and then just down the hill is the river. Take the path down the hill and you're at the river's edge. The covered outdoor deck is very spacious with a large hot tub, grill, and table to seat 8. Great for hanging out even in the rain! There was a good number of mosquitoes out when I was there, so I appreciated the large stock of bug spray in the cabinet. There are train tracks just on the other side of the river and we had fun trying to spy the trains through the trees (hint: look up!). The train noise did not bother us, although something to be aware of. (I recommend driving a little farther down the road to take in views of the bridge where the train crosses the river; pretty cool!) The inside of the cottage is appropriately rustic. The kitchen, although old, is plenty roomy and well stocked. The living room has a large stone fireplace (bring plenty of wood!). The dinning room is the closest part of the cottage to the river and has a lovely view. The 2 bedrooms are located upstairs (note, the 1 bathroom is located downstairs). The information I received from the owner indicated that the water has a high iron content, but it tasted just fine to me (I brought plenty of bottled too just in case). Overall, I highly recommend a stay at the Foss River cottage and will definitely be back myself!"

  • Very relaxing weekend.

"We loved our stay at this cabin. Plenty of space inside with comfy beds. Very clean and well maintained. Everything you could need for utensils in the kitchen and a BBQ for grilling. Yard was large and private for the dogs to run free and off leash. We even found a spot to walk down to the river for safe entry for the dogs as there was driftwood from keeping them close to shore. We did have trouble with the hot tub as it kept shorting out. But then we just jumped in the sauna and wow! Just perfect. We went over and hiked the Iron Goat trail on the last day and what a great spot for all people of any age and fitness levels. We booked another cabin with this same management company for later in the summer. Something where the hot tub was really close to the river for a better view. Looking forward to It!"

  • Perfect for Families

"We arrived Friday afternoon and the Cabin was ready for our arrival! Clean, neat, plenty of firewood, and ample room to back our RV into the driveway (best way to travel with kids). Close to Leavenworth for our first day and Stevens pass for the second. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying family in the spacious kitchen/living area! If you ski you will appreciate the amount of room under the covered porch to keep your gear dry and gear down at the end of the day. Kathy was easy to get ahold of and will be getting return customers next year."
