  • The river and organic spaces

"Me and what’s-her-name were just looking for a place to get away from the Texas heat. So, into the Googler we put riverfront cabin/washington. What we got was Jill and Bob’s labor of love. This place is a perfect space that features extra room on the deck, river front beach, and landscaped spaces-front and back. Warmly decorated and well thought out with it’s meticulous upgraded craftsmanship anticipating anything you might need. The booking process, the owners, and this “retreat” were all honest, authentic and straightforward. Crisp morning walks in mid June. Back home now and it's 101 F. Can’t wait for the Summer of ’17. • The perfect getaway for true peaceful R&R

"My husband and I have been to Maggies Cabin twice and look forward to many more visits. We consider this our special home away from home to reset and reconnect. The river is mesmerizing and will wash all stress right off you. Sitting in the hot tub with such an amazing view is icing on the cake. The cabin is clean and well maintained offering all the basics you need to make your favorite meal and comfortable beds for amazing sleep. In the center of the cabin, there is the original river stone wood fire stove. It's beautiful ambience adds warmth and comfort to the already perfect setting. Colleen is very responsive and will do her best to meet your needs. She was very understanding and helpful when our last trip was delayed due to weather at home. Next time we look forward to exploring the many hikes close by. I highly recommend Maggies Cabin. You will not be disappointed."

  • Perfect, serene location for large groups

"We had a blast! The property is perfect for large groups. We had 16 people. We all slept comfortably. The kitchen is great for cooking large meals, and the grill even had to tanks of propane for lots of grilling. The river scene is beautiful. We had wonderful sunsets. I couldn't be happier with our stay."

  • This is one of my favorite places in the world!

"I have now stayed in George and Pat's cabin 3 years in a row, for a month, each time. Next year, I already plan to stay for a week more than a month! The cabin is beautifully set, on a bend in the Tye River, across from the Wild Sky Wilderness, with a direct view of Beckler Mountain. With 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, it is very comfortable for up to 6 cabin people (we once fit in 7, with one on the floor!). The kitchen is lovely, with a modern, glass top, electric stove, granite counter top, dishwasher, and all the cooking equipment needed to cook elaborate dinners. The deck is lovely, and the hot tub amazing. There is adequate WIFI- I was able to watch Netflix movies using it. The bedrooms are comfy, and the upstairs bedrooms both have magical views. I am a day hiker (did 33 day hikes in 38 days on my last visit to Washington), and this cabin is in the perfect place to access many high trails. The entrance to the neighborhood is literally across the street from Foss River Road, along which there are many trail heads. Many other NFS roads are within a 15 minute drive from the cabin. George and Pat are incredibly supportive and friendly. I truly love their cabin and the neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here!"
