  • Excellent Home in a Beautiful Setting for Large Group

"Our large group loved the house itself as well as the beautiful location! We travelled with a group of 15 adult family members/close friends all in our 20s/30s, including 5 couples. The house provided plenty of sleeping space for us, though I would note that we are all quite close and comfortable sharing rooms. The bedrooms are set up perfectly for multiple families traveling with small children as well. In general, the house is spacious and allows a large group space to spread out. We never felt like we were crowded or tripping over one another. The kitchen was well-appointed for cooking and overlooks the water and decks. The backyard is amazing! It's beautifully landscaped with an open grassy area and large fire pit. The trek down to the water is steep, which is to be expected given the terrain, but the stairs are sturdy and there are multiple landings to rest if needed. The beach at low tide is worth exploring. We went off-island multiple times because we traveled from across the country and wanted to explore Seattle and Victoria, but the house would be perfect for a low-key family vacation as well. We typically travel with our young children, and it would have worked great as the setting for days spent lounging, playing, and reading. The setting is peaceful and gorgeous. Notes on the general area: A car is a must! There is plenty to do on the island recreation-wise, but you'll need to drive. Travel via the ferry back to the mainland is easy as well. I was most impressed with the quality of the restaurants on the island, especially in Coupeville. Hiking at Deception Pass was beautiful. Wineries are a must."

  • Great Northwest Experience!

"This cabin is amazing!!! We rent from lots of VRBO properties and this was one of the best! The cabin is even better than it looks in the photos. It has EVERYthing could could possibly need. The little winding driveway goes through the deep and emerald green forest. When you arrive, the cottage is sitting in a sunny little clearing and it feels like there is no one within miles of you! Very private and quiet. The bedroom is in an upper loft with a big window at the head of the bed. We slept with the window open, breathed the clean forest air and were lulled to the soothing sounds of the rainforest. Heavenly! There is a nice yard with lots of seating for relaxing outdoors. We look forward to staying here again!!"
