  • Amazing, perfect, highly recommended

"Where to begin? Whatever I say here will not be enough praise for this beautiful property which is really a magnificent, inviting home the owners have chosen to share. It is a gift to all who choose to come. There is so much more to this magical place than can ever be adequately conveyed in a written word. If you want to travel and feel like you have never left the comfort of your own home but have instead landed in a homey, gorgeous place dropped from heaven - come here. Everything about our visit to Fernbrook (including the hosts) left us awestruck. The photos give you just a glimpse of the magic you will experience, it is resplendent in its beauty and way beyond what you will expect to experience in ambience. One of a kind experience in the Pacific Northwest!"

  • Lovely space to be with friends!

"We spent two nights at The Parsonage with another couple as we were attending a wedding. Mary was available and very helpful in answering questions about her lovely home and it's history. She made healthy, from scratch, tasty breakfasts and allowed us to use her kitchen for our needs. We loved spending time on the back porch and in the hot tub, catching up with friends and very comfortable in the space. Mary even went the extra step by mailing me my forgotten phone charger!!"

  • Nice, peaceful cabin

"I rented this cabin for my parents and sister for my wedding weekend because our wedding was just down the street. Check-in was smooth and Julie was super nice, even though I was running late because of traffic. The driveway is a little scary--it's a gravel driveway that's quite steep in places, with a couple of sharp turns, so be prepared for that. The cabin is very cute and quite spacious, I thought even a bit more so than it looks in the pictures. It's clean and tastefully decorated. Julie has thought of nice little touches like binoculars and a bird guide! There's now wi-fi and a phone there too, which is nice. You do have to conserve water as much as possible, I think due to the septic system or something. The deck is huge and inviting. You're right on the water, and there's a rowboat, some life jackets, etc. Right in front of the house is not great for swimming because it's shallow and a bit reedy, but if you wanted to swim you could just go farther out. The water seems clean and it's a nice lake. Anyway, my family really liked it, and found it very peaceful. They were glad to be close to our wedding house, but have their own retreat. Definitely recommend."
