This is in a nice neighborhood where many people walk their dogs. The view of the sound couldn't get any better. We loved it.

This is a hidden gem with beautiful views! It’s quiet, clean, well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. Excellent location as well. Will definitely book again.

Comfortable and quiet day-light basement apartment with lovely view of the sound. Convenient for us to be able to visit other mother since her move from UP to retirement home.

Excellent location and great house in an area that accommodations are hard to find. The huge bedroom window has a world class wake-up view of the Sound, Fox Island and the Olympics. Will be back.

We appreciated the beauty of the location. We weren’t there a whole lot because of the activities we were involved in. There should be bed pillows added. We made the pillows that were there for the bedding work but there should be pillows that would make the bed more comfortable.

We have been VRBO patrons for years. This was truly the most outstanding experience we’ve had with a property owner. Gracious and generous. Should we have the need for a stay in the area again, we will certainly choose this one.

I didn’t realize this was an owner occupied home when I booked. On the plus side, the basement suite has an amazing view. However, when I arrived (late) the owner was in the apartment still cleaning. It appeared they rented or used the suite the night I was unable to make it. There were still coffee grounds in the coffee maker and no top sheet on the bed.

This guest review is just not accurate and maybe there was some misunderstanding. She booked 2 nights but at the last minute wanted to cancel 1 night. Inprite of policy, we did our best and did a partial refund. On arrival date, guest arrived at 12;30 and check-in time was 3pm. We make lot of effort and make guests comfortable. We always get things ready before guest arrival time. Majority of guests comment that our place is very clean and comfortable. Come try the place :)

What a view!

Amazing view, beautiful gardens, quick response to all queries. Property just as pictured. Loved watching boats on Puget Sound and birds in backyard. Would be happy to visit again!

Great view. Quiet . Didn't hear any noise from the upstairs . Owner was very friendly Simple accommodations but all we needed. maybe a larger coffee pot !

This was a perfect spot for us —excellent location, an amazing view, and clean as a whistle, Nice quiet neighborhood. Rather sparsely appointed but comfortable. However, the listing as “entire home” is misleading, be prepared for a daylight basement accessed via very steep stairs sans handrail. Knowing what to expect, we’d like to return.

Scenic spot! The water view is spectacular and the sunsets were fabulous. After a busy day of walking at the Tacoma Historic Home Tour, we loved relaxing with a beverage and having quiet time. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet.The spacious daylight basement area was perfect.My companion and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the space. We stayed for two nights.I would suggest purchasing a couple of new bed pillows. The existing bed pillows were rather hard & flat. We made do-I brought over a couple of pillows & cases I use at my daughter’s home.Another minor recommendation would be to purchase a bit more substantial corkscrew for wine. We would stay here again. Location is convenient to Trader Joe’s & drive through Starbucks. There’s also Safeway & Home Goods in the same spot.Thank you for opening up this lovely and scenic space for travelers.
