  • Comfortable plus great location

"We loved our stay in Packwood. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location allowed for numerous day trips. The residents of Packwood were friendly and helpful. Being from GA we were hoping to see elk, as someone had mentioned seeing a herd of elk every morning. That was our only disappointment, certainly nothing the cabin owners have control over. If we ever return to Washington this will be our cabin of choice."

  • One of the best places we rent

"We stayed at he Adams cabin for 7 days (August 2016). The cabin is great, clean, and very well taken care off. John was always available and ready to answer our questions and provide recommendations about local places. Location is perfect, its quiet, with beautiful view, next to the river. Organic garden was a delight, co many vegetables and herbs (huge plus for us, since most of us are vegetarians). Packwood is great little town, great Market, you can find all you needed there (food supply). Hike to Packwood lake is highly recommended (4.2 miles, beautiful blue water). Cabin is fairly close to Mount Rainier Park (about 40 min to Paradise, 90 min to Sunrise). We rented many properties through VRBO and this one is probably one of the best. Highly recommended!!!"

  • Absolutely Fabulous Place to Stay

"This home was beautiful and spacious, room for all of us to spread out at night. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. Saw elk everyday we were there. Town is a few miles away. Close to the parks. Seeing Mt Rainier from the patio was an unexpected treat. You can't go wrong staying here. Carrie was great and gave us some great pointers for our stay. Thank you, best place we stayed during our 3 week trip out there!!"

  • Clean, comfortable, quiet, shady, great location for our hikes.

"We enjoyed our 7-night stay at this cute well-appointed, little cabin, despite some very hot days and nights! Some minor maintenance needed, though, which hopefully will be done before the next guests arrive: nearly-plugged bathroom sink and broken stopper; some bathroom wallpaper loose; hot water thermostat set at scalding temperature; braided rug in kitchen unravelling; tree leaves obscuring the sign at the cul-de-sac drive to the cabin; TV's remote device needs new batteries; and one inexpensive bed was uncomfortable. The bed in the north-facing room (with a door) was very good quality, although the owner should replace it's old electric blanket with a new non-electric blanket. Also, the cabin should be supplied with a fan in the living area downstairs during the hot-weather season. Luckily, we brought one with us! There were good fans, though, in the two bedrooms upstairs--which were a big relief and necessary to be on low during the day to keep the area from getting too hot. We loved the well-equipped kitchen, with it's big refrigerator and lots of implements! We also enjoyed watching the Olympics in the evening on the big-screen TV. The bathroom had a great shower, and there were plenty of towels, etc. The cabin had a wonderful deck with a table and chairs, but we didn't use it much. We appreciated the trees surrounding the cabin, giving it shade throughout the day and dampening Highway 12 traffic not far below. It was easy for me to book the cabin and communicate with the property managers (and the owner). Still waiting for the refundable deposit, however (nearly 4 days after we checked out and left it in good shape). We recommend this cabin to future guests, especially a small family or two single people--any time of the year! Thank you very much, Mr. Darvel Lloyd (age 73) Portland, OR"
