  • Excellent Place to Stay!

"We (4 adults, 1 toddler) had a lovely time staying here. The views are amazing, the location is great, close enough to so many sites - Harpers Ferry, the battlefields, etc, yet out in the countryside to have a private feel. Brian and Sandy were great to communicate with, extremely responsive and very helpful. The house itself was very comfortable and well stocked. I highly recommend this cabin!"

  • What a lovely spot!

"This was the annual cousins weekend , and your great home and property set a very high standard for future outings. We walked the battlefield daily, but still managed the nice walk up the lane to the road turning up or down the road alternatively. We enjoyed a cocktail in the evening on the rock patio and grilled out most evenings. We found the historic home to our liking and well equipped. All in all it was a great week spent in a memorable setting. Thanks for everything"

  • Late Summer Getaway

"My boyfriend and I rented the cabin for the weekend as an alternative to the crowded beaches in Maryland/Delaware. We knew from the pictures that the views from the deck would be great, but they were even more spectacular than we could've imagined. The cabin was very nice and clean when we arrived. We stopped at a grocery store on the way up so that we wouldn't have to venture out later that night. After settling in, we enjoyed the night views and hottub. The cabin doesn't have central air, but the air conditioning unit worked great. We were comfortable for the entire weekend. We brought a laptop with movies on it to watch in bed at night. The basement bedroom was nice and cool every night, so we slept down there. The bathroom was nicely updated (shower is amazing!) and even had a few toiletries if you happened to forget something. On saturday, we went to the town of Berkely Springs. It's a small town, but there is a great olive oil shop that has some very friendly and knowledgable owners. We bought a few items to marinade our dinner with for later that night on the grill. Do make sure to check out the Antique Mall and the state park. It's a really neat little town. We loved it and Instagramed a lot of pictures :)"
