  • Wonderful time had by all!

"We enjoyed this lovely cabin so much. From the decor of the cabin to the layout of the land including the fire pit and walkway to the lake it couldn't have been nicer. Weather was amazing and the fish loved our minnows. What a wonderful little piece of heaven this cabin is. Waking up to the sunrise over the lake was perfect. If we weren't in need of handicapped accessibile cabin in the future we would definately be back. Maybe just the two of us can sneak away and come back! It must be incredible there in the Fall!"

  • Wonderful time!

"We were so fortunate to get a room at the Pilot House. We had no idea that an apple festival would fill up every room in the area. We had simply started out driving Saturday morning and ended up in Bayfield. We called around on Saturday afternoon when we got into town and the Pilot House had just had a cancellation for that night, and we were lucky enough to get the Crow's Nest room which overlooks Lake Superior. While the room itself is rather small with enough room for the king size bed and a small hightop table it was very comfortable, and the bathroom was HUGE. The rest of the house was gorgeous. The deck was amazing and we sat out there on Sunday morning having breakfast. The living room area has a beautiful fireplace and very comfortable seating. Jack was so pleasant and very helpful on things to do in the area. I am so glad Pilot House had this cancellation because now we have found a spot we will go to again numerous times in the future."

  • A great time on Teal Lake

"We spent 3 nights at this lovely home on Teal Lake. We very much enjoyed the house and its location on one of the few 'quiet lakes' in Wisconsin (boat speed restrictions and no jet skis made for a relaxing break). Our family of 5 had all the space we needed -- and then some -- and it was a pleasure to make meals in the wonderful kitchen and great room. We spent much of our time in and on the lake. The owners provided kayaks we used for many trips around the nearby islands. We caught some fish from the dock and saw some great summer sunsets. One evening at a nearby restaurant -- Tally Ho -- gave us a memorable meal where the chef prepared some dishes especially for us. All communication by the owners was good. Scott went out of his way to drop off some items we forgot and made sure we were all set. We recommend staying here if you're in the Hayward area."

  • Great getaway for a group!

"This home was a perfect fit for our group of 10. The kids loved having their own space and bath in the loft. Lots to do - spent a lot of time at the water, fishing, swimming and loved the fire pit right on the beach! The water is crystal clear - no muck to go through. Boat lift was a huge plus for us. We rented a pontoon from Round Lake Marina and kept it at the house too. Huge enclosed porch was great for the rainy day we had while there. Kitchen was fully stocked with all items needed to make meals. Kids had a blast catching frogs in the pond. We had a great time here and would recommend this home to a large family or a group for a fun and relaxing vacation."
