  • BEAUTIFUL Home with amazing owners!

"There is so much that my family and I love about staying at this house in Hayward, that I will just list it below: - Absolutely beautiful home - wide open kitchen/livingroom/dining room space to enjoy by all. Made it easy to prepare meals in the large kitchen! - The rooms were large enough and the carriage house is GREAT for additional space - The lake was full of fish - we caught a lot of crappie, which made it fun (especially for our 2 year old who caught 9 in one outing!). - The fire pit was great, and so relaxing. - Wonderful screened in porch for playing cards at night. - A/C was working well and in general the house was clean and kept up very nicely. - The cabin is 5 minutes from downtown Hayward, which is great for grocery trips and fun outings walking downtown. - Owners are great - Jim is wonderful to work with and always wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay great. Bottom line is - this place is great. We will be heading back next year for our third year, and cannot wait!"

  • Fun Girls Crafting Weekend

"This was our 5th year at Larson's on the Lake in Hayward. Perfect house and location for a girls getaway. We enjoy the view and light thru the big living room windows. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything we need. We bring our machines and sew to our hearts content. Perfect for quilters and crafters. We enjoy walking and you can even walk into town. We bring our own food and cook but if you prefer there are many good restaurants in the area, several within walking distance. We look forward to our next visit to Larson's on the Lake."

  • The cabin was very clean and well stocked with cooking items.

"The cabin is in a row with other cabins around it. You have a covered boat parking place for a small boat. Larger boats would not be able to fit under it. Ours did and it was sure nice when it rained and the boat kept dry. You have two ceiling fans, and one stand alone fan, but it was VERY hot in the cabin when it was in the 80's and 90's and humid. The lights need to have brighter bulbs in them as it was quite dark in there at night. Phone reception and use of Wifi on your phone - well, expect to go outside and stand by the main cabin on the grounds to get service. The cabin had a nice size refrigerator/freezer. Nice stove. Two bedrooms with full size beds. Cleanliness is my number one goal and it was spotless. If you have any problems or questions, the owners are a phone call away. They are very helpful and email or call you with answers. I really appreciated their willingness to help. Didn't catch much fish. No one around us did. Do not forget your bug spray because the biting flies and mosquitoes were horrible."

  • Tranquility and comfort in equal measure.

"We had a wonderful week in the woods. This quiet spot is close enough to one of Wisconsin's premiere vacation towns that there's plenty to do ... or lots of nothing. We chose a bit of both."
