  • Perfect

"We couldn't have imagined a better place to stay for our annual trip. It had everything our group of 5 needed, including (and the weather cooperated) a nice firepit out back for a few great evening fires. The beds were great, kitchen and dining had ample space. The shower and restroom were neat and clean. The living room had a great fireplace that provided a little extra heat as we watched some football on the TV Friday and Saturday night. The cabin is not close to any restaurants, which was perfect for us. We wanted the peace and quiet, stars and darkness. The owners were terrific about getting back to us with any quick questions we had. In short: we loved it and will be booking again."

  • Relaxing

"What a wonderful find! Our family of 4 had a great time. The lake view was serene and private. Close enough to town though so we didn't feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. We could all hang out in our own areas of the house without being on top of each other or isolated, either. The open layout had nice pockets of privacy. The house itself had plenty of the comforts of home. I particularly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, rather than just a bare minimum of utensils, cookware, etc. Bathrooms were modern and clean. Closets offered good storage. Beds and other furniture were comfortable. Good wifi connection. It was too early in spring to take advantage of the lake. It was a beautiful view though. Lots of birds in the area and on the water. We really enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful and relaxing."

  • One of the Best north woods VRBO Rentals for the Birkie

"We flew in from Canada to compete in the annual famous Birkebiener race. We have been doing this race for 12 years and this was by far the best VRBO we have rented in the area. The owners have made this cabin very welcoming and comfortable with all the amenities you would need. The kitchen was stocked just like my own and one of the best thing was the cookware, the Ceramic coated cookware which is the best . Most rentals use the ''T-fal'' - PFTE cookware and it quickly gets scratched and chipped and then it gives off dangerous heavy metal toxins that result in serious health problems. The cabin was fully stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, soaps for bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. The bed and linens were of very high quality and great sleeps were had! The theme of the cabin were "Bears'', an appropriate woodsy decor that gave the cabin a warming and cozy touch. You can tell that these owners really care about their guests. The only minor thing would be, there was not a dish washer, I don't mind hand washing dishes but it is for a sanitizing reason that a dishwasher would be best. The WIFI worked great on the cell phone but not on the computer,(not a problem) we knew this as we had discussed this with the owner before we rented the cabin. The pictures on the web site do not do justice to the actual is much more. The owners were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Overall I would still rate this place a 5 Star. Tom"

  • Wonderful stay with 6 family memebers, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, free firewood, reasonably priced!

"My wife and I, father and mother in-law, and brother in-law with his girlfriend all stayed here. Nice clean place, nice view, free firewood was a definite plus, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 with a tub, 1 with a shower but who takes baths these days? So that was plenty of showers for 6 people. Fishing was slow, only downfall was the long, steep walk to the dock if anyone is elderly. A local fox comes around to say hi and look for scraps in the evening. We counted over 20 loons and 7 bald eagles, eagles nest not far down. Even though the fishing was slow, we made great memories around the firepit with must see sunsets off the dock. A very nice place!"
