  • Wonderful island stay!

"Loved our stay at Blue Water Vista! Everything we needed was there. The cabin was clean, the lake view was amazing, we enjoyed the privacy of being in the woods. Perfect for a family , my two grandaughters ( age 4 and 8) had a blast. Beach and town are a short distance away. We had the fire pit going every night for smores. PERFECT vacation. The owners were courteous, prompt, and professional. We plan to book a second annual family trip at Blue Vista next year. THANKS so much!"

  • Lovely cabin in the center of downtown

"The cabin was perfectly located and within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, gifts stores, the ferry landing, Tom's burnt down bar. Paul was great to communicate with and the cabin was very comfortable, especially the beds! We had a lovely stay. I would definitely stay here again."

  • Magic. Spacious. Well thought-out property.

"We just spent the past 10 days at the Artist's Lake-View Country Home. It was wonderfully, artistically, intentional. What I mean is that every piece of furniture, art, shrubbery, trees, statues, windows, lighting was thought about and carefully placed - yet done so in a way that at first appears quirky, then looks completely natural. Applause for Richard Dillon creating such a place. There was plenty of room for us to do everything - sleep, cook, dine-in, walk or simply enjoy gazing out at a sunrise or the nearby woods on any of the 5 open or enclosed decks. The house and grounds/gardens are well kept and very inviting. The information we received about the place was clear and concise. It was very helpful. We came as 4: 2 adults, 2 kids. It can accommodate many more. If I would want anything it would be for more storage/closet/drawer space in the loft area where the kids chose to stay. The rest of the house was fine. We spent a good deal of the time hiking, biking and enjoying Lake Superior. 6 miles south is Washburn, WI, and I would recommend eating at Coco Cafe and Bakery for breakfast or lunch. DaLou's is a great choice for dinner. 6 miles north is Bayfield, WI, and I would recommend the Egg Toss Bakery Cafe for breakfast. Maggie's for lunch and dinner. Ethel's at 250, Pickled Herring Restaurant, Greunke's and Wild Rice Restaurant for dinner as well. The Candy Shoppe is great for ice cream and Big Water Coffee Roasters beats Starbucks anytime. There are concerts in the Park by the shore several times a week. I can't speak for the Wintertime. Our time there during June and July was fabulous. I imagine Spring and Fall are great as well. I would highly recommend the Artist's Lake-View Country home to anyone."

  • Apostle Islands adventure!

"Superior Horizons is a great base from which to launch an exciting stay in the Bayfield / Apostle Islands area. We stayed with our two young children and had plenty of space and amenities to keep us comfortable. The children enjoyed watching movies and reading "Far Side" comics from the owner's collection. Barb and John were excellent hosts and very much respect their guests privacy. The carriage house is very conveniently located. We kept our boat in a slip at the casino located about a mile away and were also a short drive to downtown Bayfield. Apostle Islands from the water is amazing...looking forward to a return trip!"
