  • A TRUE CABIN EXPERIENCE ON MADELINE ISLAND

"If anyone is looking for a vacation rental that might take them back to the days when northern cabins were rustic and basic (as opposed to modern vacation condos or updated log homes and such) this is the place for you! This is an old home without much updating (part of it's appeal, I think) but enough amenities to make it charming and comfortable. It even has a bit of that old cabin smell but just a touch so it isn't offensive at all. Very comfortable seating in the living room, comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. A deck goes about 3/4's of the way around the house and the deck portion in the back is completely private with nothing but trees and nature to look at. I loved this house so much that during my 4 nights I never ate at a restaurant. Mainly cooked on the grill that was provided. And the location is perfect: near the car ferry dock and most of the shopping and restaurants and a fine grocery store too. I enjoyed my Madeline Island experience so much that I have already requested a stay for next year. I can hardly wait!"

  • Great Stay

"Barb and John do a fantastic job at maintaining a gorgeous place to stay. We had a wonderful time at the carriage house. I would highly recommend bringing your bicycle (road or mountain) to this area of WI. It is beautiful. We did not bring our bikes but did get to enjoy the nature trail that surrounds the property. This was a great way to get some exercise in the morning. Tons of movies to watch and they even had Netflix which we enjoyed while decompressing at night. We would highly recommend and will stay here again."

  • Bayfield Getaway

"My wife and I spent a relaxing two nights in Bayfield after a very busy wedding (my son) weekend in Duluth. It was just what we needed. The condo had all of the comforts of home. I was impressed with how well equipped the place was, down to little details like binoculars to enjoy the view. We were even treated to live music in the park below, which we enjoyed while sipping beers on the balcony. Bayfield is a quaint town with lots of activities and good restaurants. I recommend that everybody try the whitefish livers at Maggies, and an island tour."

  • Perfect location....right in the heart of Madeline Island!

"We are a family of 4 that stayed around the 4th of July. We planned on eating out and also cooking/grilling too. We brought a potable gas grill but you could also bring charcoal as there are areas such as Joni's beach and the State and town parks that have grills and picnic table available. There is a grocery store, but as expected, everything is a little more expensive on the island. We had a great time exploring on our bikes and by foot! We did the kayak tour from right across the street and had fabulous time with our tour guide Sam!! Lots to do and we would definitely stay there again."
